The owner of the Hiroshima Carp told reporters this week that he is thinking Marty Brown would be manager of the Carp next season if they get more wins than losses in this season.

Until this week, Marty had admitted that he would not be the manager of the carp in 2009 unless he leads the team into the Central League play off series this season.
Apparently Marty wants to remain the position.

The owner might be softening pressure on the manager.
He probably thinks that it is easier for the Carp to get 72 wins than finishing third of the Central League regular season.
