The world is at a historic turning point. We are currently witnessing many urgent issues that must be addressed by Japan and the United States. Cooperation between the two countries has never been so necessary, and in fact, there is a close partnership between the leaders and governments of these two nations to maintain the international order, which includes democracy, freedom, and the rule of law.
How have Japan-U.S. relations steadily deepened, and how can they be further developed? What steps can we take to advance these multifaceted ties through academic, business, and cultural exchanges? As a major U.S. ally, how do we envision the growth of Japan's leadership role in the international community? This lecture will explore these matters through Ambassador Mori's personal and professional lens.
