In a bid to cut costs and complete a sustainable renovation, the duo repurposed old furniture — like the custom Etsy dining table — that previously held pride of place in Bordelon's New York apartment.

Bordelon and Slocum opted to cut costs and retain their home's original staircase — despite its creaking.
