Yesterday, we got a lot of parcels from England.

Our Christmas tree is looking more Christmasy now, thanks to Nain and Taid!

And today, Kai achieved a minor milestone in his toddlerhood - he didn't cry at all when he got to the pre-school. He even said Good Mornings to his teachers and waved bye-bye to me. (and I do realize this could be dead boring to some of you, and mildly mind-numbing even for me to write about, but it was a big deal for him, honest!)

After the school, we went to a near-by shopping mall to look for Kai's snow gears (in vain) and this is Kai losing himself in the magic show they were having on the stage. He was so enthused that he didn't move at all for next 20 minutes.

And today's special....

This is Kai after getting told off for throwing his food .

"Not looking at Mummy."

"This is not happening as long as I ignore her."

"I can even pretend to play with my car. Having a great time."

Yet another (relatively) warm December morning you just had to take advantage of.

Which means only one thing around here: picnic in the park.

A boy who's seriously in need of a haircut chomps away.

Little Mr. Darcey poses "Zen."

Have I mentioned that the park was deserted (yet again) except for a few birds?

Too cold for normal human beings, I suppose...

Kai (the-snot-monster) had to skip today's swimming lesson for the obvious reason.

So we took advantage of this free day for yet more bike practices.

"Mummy, push me! Push, Mummy!"

If you say so, I will push the bike to help you move....

"Mummy, don't touch! Sit down there!"

Fine, Fine. Whatever. I brought a book with me, if you just let me...

"Mummy, Mummy, Push! Come Here!"

.....

Serious Biker.

Now a bit smug.

This Sunday, G was working, so Kai and I decided to go to a near-by park.

But it was seriously cold!

The park was deserted.

Even Kai wanted to go home.

This is Kai demanding "home" (can you see his expressions?).

Inside the house, being warm and cozy (especially in his hood), Kai reads the Polar Bear book Nain gave him. It has become one of his favourite, and he can name all the animals in it as well as ask the most important "what do you hear?" question now.

Later that day, Kai had a little argument with Daddy regarding the usage of Daddy's computer. I guess Daddy won the argument since Kai came out of the study, claiming "Daddy is naughty! Daddy is naughty!"

A nice lazy Saturday morning.

G was working very hard...

to make a robot..

While Kai perched on and gave orders.

A little bit later.

One seriously multitasking toddler in our bathroom.

Mummy, Let me style your hair! (No, thank you.)

But I can look this cute!

Yep. I thought he was really quiet (yet again).

Oh No! Found guilty! Quick, make a cute face!

This is the best I can do now.

A lilttle bit later....

I thought he was quiet again (do I ever learn?).

This time, he was playing with my camera.

This is his work.

Sexy?

Kai is a "dakko" monster.

He loves to be picked up.

Only by me.

ALL THE TIME.

(Have I told you that he weighs around 16 kg now?)

This is Kai demading to be "dakkoed" at the breakfast table this morning.

After smearing himself with his breakfast, he asks to be dakkoed.

As if that's his natural right (well, sort of)!

Anyway.

Today, after the pre-school, we went to a near-by park where you can ride bikes and tricyles.

He loves riding bikes, but until today, he hasn't really grasped the concept of pushing the pedals.

But Look!

He pedaled a bike here!

A major step forward (and very useful one that was, considering what he is getting this Christmas - thanks Nain and Taid!).

After a long day, one happy passed out boy.

Kai has very good eyesight.

He notices things we fail to realize that they are even there.

This morning, when he walked into our dining/living room,

he shouted "stars!" and pointed the wall.

Can you see the stars (well, shades of)?

This is him trying to catch them, jumping on his chair.

They were just a reflection of these window decorations we got for Christmas.

But it is wonderful to see things through his eyes (Well, most of the time. The other day he noticed some blemishes on my face and kept saying "Gomi! Gomi! Sutete," which means "Trash! Trash! Bin it!" How very nice. ).

When Kai wakes up, he usually goes ''Mummy Mummy!"

Then, when he finds me, he almost without fail goes "Soto Iku (want to go outside).''

So, here you go.

This picture was taken at 8 a.m.

It was freezing and the playground was completely deserted, and you can see his smile of victory and satisfaction.

It was a good thing after all that there was nobody around.

Immediately after this shot, Kai decided to swim in the sandpool.

For those who has never seen a kid swim in the sand, please refer to the pictures below

(from October 2005).

You have no idea how much sand he brings home everyday.

Kai loves brushing his teeth.

But if you look closely, you would notice he is not really brushing. He is just sucking the life out of this toothbrush.

Kai loves brushing his teeth.

Kai loves eating toothpaste.
