As some of you already know, I have been secretly knitting a sweater for Kai - for quite some time - I guess I started this project....what, back in October? (Could it be in September?? I hope not.)

Anyways - finally with a bit of help from my mother, here it is...

Introducing the "Dog Sweater."

Kai with a spotty dog in a spotty dog sweater.

I guess a spirit of good motherhood must have taken over my head today, since after finishing up the sweater, I baked an apple pie.

Talk about a further confirmation...

This morning, at the breakfast table.

"Give me the camera!"

"I will kiss you!"

"Kiss!"

On Monday, Kai went to the Tokyo Disney Land - it was quite a cold day, so the park was pretty empty, allowing us to enjoy some rides without waiting too much.

He loved the place - but he was running around too much for me to take any pictures.

This is the only picture we got from this trip.

His favourite bit was the Tom Sawyer island - which basically is just a normal athletic park with a Western flavor, confirming my belief that he is as happy just going to near-by parks....

This Saturday, we spent a lot of money on bike accessories for my new bike (I am confident to say that G was more excited to buy those bits than the actual owner of this new bike).

Sunday turned out to be surprisingly warm and sunny, so we did what any reasonable people would do - go cycling. After all, we had to justify our purchases and in addition to that, all of us could use some excersize after the holiday season which came with a 8-kilo turkey.

Baby Monkey and Daddy Monkey.

Do you notice somebody has passed out on his way home?

Conked out with pouty lips.

Kai receied a very nice present yesterday from my friend Michiko - a brand new vest!

"Do I look nice in it?"

"Do you like my fish face?"
"Oh, you do. Can I watch Nemo again then, please?"

Denied his natural right to watch movies, Kai snatched my newspaper (that I was reading) out of revenge.

"Now I am reading the newspaper..."

"No, mummy, I am reading. It's mine!"

Thanks Michiko!

We had a relatively warm day after several severely cold ones - so what do we do?

Well, what do we do everyday anyway?

Yep, go to a park.

No, this is a new photo taken today, honest.

In the sand pit. (I am fully aware that I am just stating the obvious. BUT.)

This park has a small zoo where you can touch/play with guinea pigs and rabbits.

Kai was quite excited to have this guinea pig (its name was Choco) on his lap, even though he was a bit scared to really touch it.

Kai has this sad habit of laughing at his own jokes while eating something.

This is Kai trying not to laugh with full mouth.

Today, we visited the Kasai-Rinkai Park to see some penguins.

"Ready to go, Daddy!"

Do you see the resemblances between these two?

Kai loves penguins.

"Look, they are coming to say hi to me!"

"Wow!"

On Sunday mornings, Kai likes to have some pancakes.

He can be quite useful.

He knows he can benefit from the result.

After getting full,

"This helps me digest well...."

The beginning of another 3-day holiday.

We decided to go for a bike shopping. My old mountain bike was stolen a few months ago, and it was about time to find a replacement.

First thing first, we have to get ready.

Fresh out of the shower, Kai found some peter rabbit books.

"Peter Rabbit! Peter Rabbit! Peter Rabbit!"

Then, while we were getting ready, Kai was found...

cleaning the balcony. Good boy.

We went to Harajuku/Shibuya/Omotesando area to find the very perfect bike for me.

Eating lunch. This is his "good face."

After buying the bike, we just walked around inside the Yoyogi park.

Did you notice that the park's deserted? it was around 1c - yet another really cold day.
