I like them too.グッド!

*コンビニのローソンと同じなので覚えやすいですね!!

Career history [edit ]

After finishing at BIMM Brighton (Brighton Institute of Modern Music), drummer Adam Pitts began searching for a singer-songwriter . He contacted Andy Brown, the lead singer, through his acoustic Myspace page, and just over three months later, the pair met up in London for a drink and decided to form the band. Brown introduced Pitts to bass player Ryan Fletcher, who he had previously met a few years earlier at The Academy of Contemporary Music .[1] Ryan then brought in lead guitarist Joel Peat, whom Ryan knew since adolescence , to complete the line-up.[2] The band began recording material in early 2010, and their debut single, "When She Was Mine", became one of the highest-rated songs on YouTube within a week. They soon began playing gigs around the United Kingdom , including the Wireless Festival [3] and the Ultrasound Festival.[4] [5]

Breakthrough (2011–2012) [edit ]

In 2011, the band made its mainstream breakthrough after becoming the support act for Britain’s biggest pop bands, The Wanted , on its first-ever theater tour, The Behind Bars Tour . The band made a great impression on the audience and received good reviews from fans and critics alike. Having developed a friendship with The Wanted, they returned as the support act for The Wanted's second tour, #TheCode Tour . In an interview, the band told In Demand that they found working with The Wanted very inspiring: "The Wanted boys are amazing, and we love them; we became so close, and they really looked after us on tour. But they also played a lot of pranks." They have also stated that watching The Wanted perform firsthand gave them something to aspire to, because they had seen how much the band had grown within a year, especially cracking the United States. "The Wanted lads are amazing—they're absolutely incredible with us. We did the theater tour and the arena tour with them, so we've watched them in about a year's time go from doing theaters to then doing arenas, and now they're smashing it up in the States as well. It's massively inspirational, and they are all such nice lads!" On 8 September 2011, it was announced that the band had been signed to Polydor Records , with a lucrative two-album deal on the cards. After signing to a major label, Lawson was tasked with opening for other acts such as Will Young ,[6] Avril Lavigne ,[7] and as stated before, again for The Wanted ,[8] Tipped for success, the band also supported fellow future label-mates The Saturdays on their 'All Fired Up' tour in autumn 2011.[2] The band performed its own headline tour in January 2012,[9] and in June 2012 supported Westlife on the final dates of their farewell tour at Croke Park, Dublin.[10] The band was also added to the T In The Park line-up for 2012.[11]

Chapman Square (2012–present) [edit ]

The band's first official single, "When She Was Mine ", was released on 27 May 2012, reaching #4 on the UK Singles Chart .[12] Following the single release, the band undertook their second headline tour, in which they visited locations such as Glasgow, Sheffield, Nottingham, Leeds, London and Birmingham.[13] The band's second single, "Taking Over Me ", was released on 5 August 2012, peaking at #3 on the UK Singles Chart . In support of the single, the band appeared at the Blackberry Summer Daze concert in August 2012. In August 2012, the band announced a Hometown Tour, which will visit the cities the band members are originally from, and their current hometown. They are set to play five dates, starting on 31 October 2012 in Liverpool and ending on 6 November in London. In September 2012, the band announced the release of their third official single, "Standing in the Dark ", which will be available to purchase from 14 October 2012. Shortly after the announcement, the band revealed that their debut album, Chapman Square , would be released on 22 October. Guitarist Joel Peat said of the album: "We're all so excited to release our debut album, we've been building up to it for the past four years, and the album's title for us is special, because it is the first place that we played together as a band. Going out on tour to support the album is amazing too. Doing shows in our home towns feels like the perfect way to celebrate. Performing live is what we love the most, so to be able to play our biggest venues to date in the Cities where we grew up is very special." Lawson have cited many inspirations for their debut album, including John Mayer and Taylor Swift . Swift herself is a fan of the band, taking time to watch them perform at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball and citing "Standing In The Dark" as her favourite track.[14] On 22 October 2012 Lawson released Chapman Square , peaking at #4 in the UK Albums Chart . They announced that the fourth single off Chapman Square would be Learn to Love Again and would be released in February and currently has peaked at number 15 on the UK Singles Chart . Lawson are nominated for Kids Choice Awards 2013.
