主演はダスティン・ホフマン。
ダスティン・ホフマン演じる主人公は、小さい頃から良い子として育ち、親の期待どおりに優秀な成績を残して大学を卒業しますが、なぜか気が晴れない、それまでの自分の生き方に虚しさを感じます。
そして、不倫という名の火遊びに興じて内なる反抗心を満たしたりします。
でも最後には、周りの人の期待などではなく、自分の意思で自分のこと（花嫁の強奪）を決めて、親離れをしていく。。
そんな感じの映画です。
ラストシーンの脱力感漂う主人公達の不安げな表情が気になります。
ところで私には、映画の内容よりも、そこで使われている音楽の方がとても気になります。
