 Hello, This is S‑Char.

Today, I would like to reflect on something that happened to me on YouTube, and place it alongside the platform’s official policies.

My goal is not to accuse anyone, but to document what I experienced and to consider how it relates to YouTube’s rules on creator conduct.

YouTube’s Policies on Harmful Creator Behavior

YouTube states that creators may face penalties

—including content removal—

if they engage in certain harmful behaviors.

 Among the examples listed are:

  • Encouraging viewers to repeatedly engage in abusive behavior

  • Targeting an identifiable individual with insults or harassment based on inherent attributes

  • Exposing someone to a risk of harm due to local social or political circumstances

  • Creating content that fuels hostility between creators for personal financial gain

After presenting these examples, YouTube adds an important note:

“This list is not exhaustive. If you believe your content may violate this policy, please do not post it.”

This means that harmful behavior can take many forms, even those not explicitly listed.

What Happened to Me

 With that in mind,

I want to describe an incident

that occurred on a YouTube livestream on June 13, 2026 (Sat).

If you wish to see the stream yourself, here is the link:

I am certain that I was affected by a form of selective, pre‑emptive moderation

—a situation where a specific viewer is hidden from others before the stream even begins.

1. Hidden Before the Stream Started

Before the broadcast went live, I posted a “waiting” sticker in the chat.

However, other viewers could not see it.

This means I had already been hidden before the stream began.

2. Not Being Acknowledged During the Stream

When the stream started, I posted a greeting sticker.

Normally, the streamer reads comments from the top down,

 acknowledging each viewer.

But only my greeting was ignored.

The streamer responded to everyone else, but not to me.

This was not an accident—it was consistent and deliberate.

3. The Archive Shows My Messages Only From My Perspective

 In the archive,

all of my comments appear normally from my perspective,

so I can see them in the chat replay.

However, other viewers cannot see them.

It may not erase every trace completely,

but it effectively hides what happened and creates a discriminatory situation.

Why This May Violate YouTube Policy

While YouTube’s policy examples do not explicitly mention this scenario,

 the underlying principles are relevant:

  • Targeting a specific individual

  • Using a position of authority to manipulate or isolate them

  • Creating psychological pressure or distress

  • Hiding the behavior from the community

This kind of covert targeting can easily fall under harmful or abusive conduct.

Losing Trust in the Channel

Experiencing this on the KENASHI  YouTube channel has understandably damaged my trust.

 Being singled out,

hidden, and then publicly exposed in the archive is not something any viewer should have to endure.

Thank you for taking the time to read my account.
