The こと performance by Ms. Chieko Fukuda
was a memorable encounter with traditional japanese music up close.
Honestly, I can't find the right words to express how amazed I was
with the level of artisanship she showed in playing the こと and しゃみせん.
I was too mesmerized by the sound of the こと like flowing water
calming every nerve as I take each note she produced.
My eyes were glued on how she skillfully tune each string by adjusting the bridges
and on the manner she pulled each string with finesse as she produced nature like sounds.

I also realized that こと blends well with a variety of musical instruments
like しゃくはち (shakuhachi) and BASSOON
(not to mention electric guitar, bass and drums).
Ms. Chieko Fukuda's duet with this certain UP student using the BASSOON is my favorite!
It was a win.
The music produced by the こと accompanied by the Bassoon was overwhelming
I wished it would never stop.
How I wish to see and hear こと accompanied by a Violin next time.
P.S.

I'm not certain if that's a BASSOON but.....
it kinda resemble a Bassoon since OBOE looks smaller than that.
