 『 the Missing Piece 』

- NO STORY SITS BY ITSELF -

I'm on the 6th day of my CFIT training and its taking its toll on me. I have this slight trace of British accent so it was a rude awakening in my part to be constantly corrected on the manner I pronounce and put stress on syllables.

I am receptive to comments, opinions or suggestions.

I stand to be corrected.

Yet, getting bombarded each day by your trainer on how to properly pronounce each word using the American accent is crushing my ego and self-esteem. Its making me feel like I am a complete idiot. Its just hard for me to talk in Standard American Accent ! I can't get rid of this slight hint of Brit accent on the way I deliver words.

Why is everyone so into American accent nowadays? When in fact, American English isn't the original English. If I'm not mistaken, English in England is the original English! Even my trainer admits that. According to him, if you're going to ask the English people (native of England) some would even say, "the Americans bastardized English!"

Hey! No offense. I didn't mean anything bad with that. I just want to share what I heard from other people.

So that's it. If I won't be able to fix my accent.. . .
then it seems I wouldn't get the job as Online English tutor for Koreans. . .

I need to look for another JOB!

Maybe I'm not cut to be a teacher or a tutor. . . .

~darn~ I need to get that Japanese Scholarship if nothing happens to me this month!
I want to get that Research Scholarship the Japanese Embassy is offering ! ! ! >.<
