Doggie bag

It's been a while.
How've you been?
Hope everything is OK with you.

Tonight I'm going to talk about ''doggie bag''.
Doggie bag is a service that you ask at a restaurant when you can't finish all your food on the table and you want to take it home.
 In Japan people usually don't ask for such a service even if you wish because you feel embarrased to do so.
However, in America many people don't hesitate to ask.

I personally think it is a good thing to ask for a doggie bag as we all should respect food and don't waste food.
How do you feel about this?

I actually heard from my student that recently you can ask for a doggie bag in some restaurants.
I was happy to learn this in fact.

Well, I guess it's easy to waste food today but there are millions of people starving without food in the world.
So, let's take a moment and consider this.

By the way, ''doggie bag'' is coming from the expression that you want to take the leftover food home for your pet.
Of course it is not true, it is for yourself.
It just sounds elegant in a restaurant.

American Idol

Do you know American Idol?
That's one of my favorite TV programs now.
I watch it on FOX, Ichikawa cable television.
I believe you can also watch the re-broadcasting version on BS channel as well.
Of course you can watch it on YouTube, too.
It's a singing audition program in America, just like Asayan.
Every year over 100,000 people audition for this program and decide who gets No.1.
Right now this year's season is No.9 and the crowned singer gets lots of offers from record companies and become rich.
Yes!
That is called American dream!

In America, as you know there are many awesome singers around and this competition is extremely high level.

On FOX, they show this program at 9 pm every Saturday and Sunday.

Maine coon

Guess what?
I bought a kitten at a petshop.
The breed is Maine coon and she is 4 months old.
Since the cat was already a little big, they gave me a huge discount and my family and I decided to take her home.
She is so adorable and playful as you can see in the attached photo.
My daughter had been telling me and my wife that she really wanted a cat and we also wanted one, so we decided.
This cat is really a good girl and she never mews at night.
Basically she just sit around quietly in the living room and waits for the morning to come.
Her fur doen't fly around in the house, either.

Well, we have now a new member in our family.
We are so much filled with joy!

I gotta go now.
I've got 8 hours of teaching coming up.
