After I finished all tasks on my business trip, I stopped by Bandai Soba on the way to JR Niigata Station with a coworker. He agreed my proposal to eat soba noodles and curry rice that are very popular local meals in Niigata prefecture. I have been looking forward to having curry rice here because I didn't when my private travel to Niigata prefecture last time.

A lot of media, celebrities and youtubers have referred curry rice of Bandai Soba in Bus Center, and it has won many awards.

As you know, I am a light eater but I ordered S size curry rice and half size hot soba noodles because I have been leading Saturday is Romen Day campaign. I am supposed to eat soba noodles because I am a Romenist. S size curry rice was 500 yen and half size soba noodles was 280 yen, totally 780 yen. It was affordable.

Soba noodles and the soup were ordinary, to be honest, but above average quality. I felt they prepare the soup by themselves by broth.

You can see the unique light yellow curry sauce. The taste would align with what you imagined. The taste was just traditional Japanese curry. I am wondering why this became such popular. Anyway, I was satisfied to try that once.

I came back Tokyo by Shinkansen Toki super express. I drank Niigata Limited Beer Fumi Sokai-nishite brewed by SAPPORO breweries.

I drank the local Japanese sake, Koshi no  Kagetora, that is packed without heat sterilization to keep fresh taste. The concept is the same as Kikusui Funaguchi, the local sake in Niigata prefecture too.
It has been a while since my last stay on business trip. I enjoyed that.

Thank you for reading. Have a nice day.
