Good day.
I drank a lot on the day before but I went out to do Romen activity. I am supposed to follow "Saturdays are Romen Days" campaign. I got off at JR Itabashi Station.
I drank with blog friends last FriYay night, by the way. It was fun night. Thank you so much. I am going to post about the party tomorrow.

I walked through Itabashi-shuku bound for Itabashi ward office. I have walked here several times because there are some good Romens in this area, Soba Tani and Ikechi.

Itabashi-shuku was the first accomodation place on Nakasendo road from Nipponbashi to Northward. This was one of the major 4 accomodation places in Edo era, others were Shinagawa-shuku on Tokaido road, Senju-shuku on Nikko-kaido road, and Naitoshin-shuku on Koshu-kaido road. Time would had gone so slowly in the past.

There were many old-fashioned shops on the Itabashi-shuku road. I was curious of the liquor store but I didn't enter because I didn't want to bring heavy sake to my apartment.

I got to Tokyo Metro Itabashikuyakushomae Station.

This is ENBA. This Romen was opened just this year. I got to know this from the article of Bunshun Online written by Sakazaki-san and Facebook post by N-senpai.
ENBA is a old word that means a dragonfly.

They had various types of tempura for topping. Geso-ten, jumbo kakiage, sweet potato tempura, maitake mushroom tempura, Satsuma melty eggplant tempura, croquetta, chikuwa fish cake tempura, squid tempura, red ginger tempura, myoga tempura (I love myoga, I should have ordered this too), lotus root tempura, perilla tempura, eringi mushroom tempura, morokheiya tempura, and okahijiki tempura, and more.

It was too much hot inside although there was an air conditioner. I sweated a lot.

I ordered hot soba noodles with okahijiki tempura topping because I wanted to have from Sakazaki-san's article and N Senpai's Facebook post. And my Gesoline meter was not empty, I ate gesoten soba noodles at Uma Soba last weekend.
It was 480 yen. It was cheaper for its quality.

I am unsure but I felt the soba noodle would be factory made raw noodle and they boiled a bunch of raw soba noodles at the same time and kept and re-boiled just after an order. The taste was good and the amount was also enough.

The okahijiki tempura was thick and texture and taste were good. Okahijiki is not seaweed, is a kind of wild grass and recently farmed.

The soup was also very good with balanced taste. According to Sakazaki-san's article, the owner was a principal chef in a major Japanese food restaurant. The recipe of the soup would be his special. There were bottles of soy sauce and mirin sweet sake. The brand of soy sauce is Himiko Soy Sauce from Kumamoto, and Mirin is Kokonoe
genuine Mirin from Aich. It is interesting that two main seasonings are from other prefecture, not Kanto region. And more interesting thing is that Himiko Soy Sauce uses various seasonings and sugar in their soy sauce, by particular way in Kyushu region.

Let me start Roka Tower Sampo.
I walked through Naka-juku road.

It was too hot...

This is REEHAN FOOD STORE. I am not sure but Reehan might be a name of this shop owner. This might be a food and grocery store of Arab Emirates.

This is Kimura, a grocery store. I am wondering why this kind of outdated old store can continue its business. The inside was dirty and mess, and they didn't have enough groceries.

This terminated Tobacco Store made me feel nostalgic.

I didn't know what kind of store this was. There was a staff inside and opened. Why can they continue the store.

I always stop by when I find a river, pond, lake and ocean. I truly want to go bass fishing again.

This tower would be Hinomi-Yagura that means observational tower for a fire accident in Edo era.

This is a famous place there, Enkiri Enoki. It seems a power spot that you could break out a relationship with your partner.

Thank you for reading. Have a nice weekend. I have to work today at home for preparing meetings this week.
