巣鴨駅までやって来ました。

Good day.

Do you remember "Saturdays are Romen Days" campaign and yesterday was Romen Day? If so, why not follow?

I got off at Sugamo Station.

 

おばあちゃんの原宿と言われる巣鴨地蔵通商店街をろか散歩♪

Let me start Roka Sampo before the Romen activity. I walked through Sugamo Jizo-dori Shopping Street. As you know, Sugamo area is well known for Harajuku like area for elderly people, Grandma's Harajuku. There were many elderly people there, indeed.

 

まじ昭和

This area remains the atmosphere of Showa Era, there are a lot of specialty shops with old atmosphere.

 

この「ときわ食堂」には一度来てみたいんですよね。

This is Tokiwa Dining, a very popular restaurant there. Their specialty seems fried cuisines like fried prawn and fried horse mackerel. I would like to try fried horse mackerel once here.

 

もちろんとげぬき地蔵尊には立ち寄らないと。

We must stop by Koganji temple where is well known as Togenuki Jizoson, regardless your religion.

 

ここは時間がゆっくり流れています⏱

I felt that time goes slowly here.

 

すがもんのおちり(´∀`(⊃*⊂)

This is buttocks of Sugamon, a mascot character in Sugamo, but I didn't know Sugamon at all.

巣鴨庚申塚 猿田彦大神

I stopped by Sugamo Koshinzuka, Sarutahiko Ookami Shrine.

 

さあ、着きました。蕎麦男さんもおススメしていたそば処もりしょうです。

I got to Soba Morisho. I got to know here from the Ameba blog article by Sobao-san. He recommended here.

 

現金のみ。やっぱり最初は定番ってことでかき揚げそばです。

There was a food ticket vending machine outside. Cash only, unfortunately. I ordered kakiage soba noodles, a standard one here. It was 650 yen, a bit more expensive.

 

椅子はありますが店内は狭いです。

There are seats, so not actual stand-up dining, but is categorized stand-up soba noodle restaurant, you know. The inside was very narrow.

 

かき揚げがそびえ立ってます!

The height of kakiage was taller than ordinary one. Kakiage contains sliced onions and shrimps.

 

押出製麺機で作られた十割そば、切り立て茹で立てです。歯ごたえもあり蕎麦の風味も豊かです。かき揚げも揚げ立て。お汁も美味しいです。こりゃ旨いや。コスパ抜群です。

The soba noodle is produced 100% of buckwheat flour, called Juwari Soba. This soba noodle is produced by a compressor type noodle making machine like pasta making machine. This type pf noodle making machine can produce soba noodles from 100% dough of soba noodle easily. The soba noodle had good texture and rich soba flavor, indeed. The soba noodle was just produced and boiled after my order, and tempura was fried after my order too. And the soup was so good. The quality deserves its price and exceeds the ordinary stand-up soba noodle restaurants.

 

東京桜トラム

This is Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line). Most of you don't know there is a tram line in Tokyo, I am sure.

 

紫陽花の季節ですね

Hydrangea season has come! I remember the English word of Ajisai at last.

 

池袋まで歩きました👣

I walked to Ikebukuro station and took a train toward my town. Ikebukuro is the center of subculture now, the central of subculture like anime and idol may be moving from Akihabara to Ikebukuro.
