昨日は路麺ではないですがちゃんとお蕎麦を食べました。
丹波という手打ちそば屋さんです。一度来てみたかったんですよね。娘と二人でデートです。店内はかなり狭いうえに二人オペでとっても丁寧に調理をされるので、かなり待たされました。その間に来たお客さんは待たせないで、かなりお待たせしてしまうのでと帰す始末。ちょっとなんだかなあという感じです。
天ぷらはとても美味しかったんですが、肝心の手打ちお蕎麦は風味は良いものの少し柔らかめ。少し残念でした。

I went out to eat Japanese soba noodles with my younger daughter at soba restaurant Tamba yesterday. It was not Romen activity in Romen day on Saturday, but a sort of. The exterior of the restaurant looked a genuine Japanese soba restaurant. Tamba had a narrow space to sit and eat. And only two staff operated all. So we needed to wait for serving cuisines for over 20 minutes. Furthermore, they sometime rejected additional customers due to serving not enough. They didn't ask costomers to wait, they let costomers leave with apology. It was impressive. Anyway, tempura were really good, my daughter said as same. The soba noodles were handmade, the soba noodles had soft texture though good soba flavor. They cooked all cuisines very carefully, so the restaurant may have to let customers wait. The oil smell stuck to our clothes because they cooked tempura in front of us. I will never come again.
昨日は珍しいハイボール缶を飲みました。HARRY CRANESという北陸唯一の蒸留所である三郎丸蒸留所のとってもスモーキーな原酒を使ったハイボール。めちゃめちゃ美味しかったです。少し高いですけどね。
I drank a rare canned whisley highball last night. It was HARRY CRANES Craft Highball. The whiskey was distilled by Saburomaru distillery that is the only distillery in Hokuriku area. The highball had abundant smoky flavor from peat. Peat is a brown, soil-like material characteristic of boggy, acid ground, consisting of party decomposed vegetable matter. It is widely cut and dried for use in gardening and as fuel. In whiskey distillation process, barley malts were dried by peat traditionally, in Scotland particularley Islay islands.
It was very good, but a little bit expensive 380 YEN.

Today's DMM English lesson review.
It need to take for around 3 hours from my flat to my family home. It is far. I was able to come back my family home because I had a business trip to the place where close from here. Furthermore, I am going to Kobe city Hyogo prefecture as business trip tomorrow, so I will leave home tomorrow. This time, I could come back home by company's money.
Today's lesson topic was plant-based Nuggets and Wings. I know a plant-based meat is not latest technology. I ate plant-based chicken made by soybeans when I was a junior high school student. I think there are still some hurdles that we need to address, such like taste and costs. It seems KFC try to serve plant-based nuggets and wings in some KFC restaurants abroad. It sounds good idea. There are really few vegetarians and vegans in Japan, but there are many foreign vegetarians and vegans. And more, Japan will take place Olympic games next year. Most vegetarians and vegans are strugglimg to have lunch and dinner because most restaurants in Japan don't serve special menus for vegetarians and vegans. So Japanese government should encourage restaurants and companies to make special menus towards 2020 because a lot of foreigners including vegetarians and vegans will visit Japan.
