More than 80 dead in European winter weather

More than 80 people have died across Europe as days of snow storms and sub-zero temperatures swept the continent, causing traffic chaos for millions.

At least 42 people have frozen to death in Poland over the last three days and another 27 in Ukraine. Another 13 people died in car accidents in Austria, Finland and Germany, where temperatures fell to -33C (-27F). Air, rail and road transport links were disrupted across northern Europe where more snow was expected in coming days.

 ここ数日、ヨーロッパ大陸に吹き荒れた吹雪と氷点下の気温によって８０人以上が死亡し、何百万人の人々の交通手段が混乱した。この３日間でポーランドで少なくとも42人、ウクライナで27人が凍死した。また－３３℃（－27°F）にまで気温が下がったオーストリア、フィンランド、ドイツでは１３名が自動車事故で死亡した。北ヨーロッパの飛行機・列車・道路の交通網は、今後も厳しくなると予測される降雪によって分裂されている。
