On July 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with N. Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui in Moscow, and expressed gratitude to the N. Korean leadership for dispatching troops to the operation aimed at recapturing Russia's western Kursk Oblast, which was subjected to a cross-border attack by Ukrainian forces.

It seems to be FM Choe's 1st visit to Russia since last October.
During the meeting, President Putin praised the N. Korean troops, who participated in the "recapture" of the Kursk Oblast, saying that their bravery would "never be forgotten."

FM Choe Son-hui conveyed to President Putin that "Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the WPK, has expressed a commitment to consistently advance the Russo-N. Korea comprehensive strategic partnership."
She further stated that N. Korea "unwaveringly supports Russia's efforts" to uphold its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to the Kremlin, her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and Yuri Ushakov, the Kremlin's chief foreign policy adviser, also attended the meeting.
