> 韓国政府主催の恒例の「８・15光復節記念式典」に野党など反政府系が出席を拒否し話題だ。
> 国立の独立記念館館長に保守派の歴史学者、金亨錫（キム・ヒョンソク）氏が任命されたことへの反発だが、金氏は日本統治時代の韓国人の国籍を問われた際、「日本」と答えたことも非難の対象になっている。
> 歴史的事実をそのまま語ったのに、「日本支配の歴史を容認する売国奴」などと罵倒されているのだ。
It has become a topic that anti-government groups, such as opposition parties, boycotted the hosted by the S. Korean government "Aug. 15 Liberation Day ceremony."
The reason why is their displeasure against that conservative historian Kim Hyoung-suk was appointed as president of the National Independence Hall. When he was questioned the nationality of (S)Koreans during the Japanese annexation period, Kim Hyoung-suk replied that "Japan" which is also a subject to criticism.
Even though he talked the historical fact as it was, he is insulted as a "national traitor who accepts the history of Japanese rule."

S. Korea was also fired up by the Paris Olympic Games, but the nationality of Sohn Kee-chung, the marathon gold medalist in the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, is still Japan in the official record of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
It even caused a problem that, in the past, (S. Korea) claimed to change his nationality to the IOC but dismissed, it therefore selfishly scraped off the word "Japan" from the Olympic monument in Berlin without permission.

S. Korea has claimed that the annexation treaty with Japan was illegal & invalid, while making its founding roots be a government in exile (?) established by anti-Japan activists in Shanghai, China.
During his term in office, former President Moon Jae-in gave a speech at the Aug. 15 commemorative ceremony as if (S. Korea) battled & won "Liberation from Japan" (1945) by themselves, not the result of the Allied forces' victory over Japan.

All what mass madia talks about is also the independence movement, and in an atmosphere as if (S. Korea) engaged an "independence war" against Japan and won.
It means that, due to spread of the eccentric history-recognition, they become to be unable to actually feel the hisotiralc truth including the nationality during the Japan annexation period in nowadays.
