[NEWSIS]. Following photos show that, on July 31 morning, a ship of the Joseon missions to Japan, which was restored in 2018 by the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage in S. Korea, is departing for Japan from Ryukoseiko Park (correct name in English is unknown) in Nam District, Busan City.
The Joseon missions ship departing on that day will reproduce the 11th maritime route (Busan - Tsushima - Iki - Ainoshima - Shimonoseki) of the Joseon mission, which led the Japan-Korea exchanges during the Yi dynasty period, which will take about a month until Aug. 29, and it's the 1st time a ship will make a port call in the Japanese mainland in 260 years since 1763-1764.
