> 社民党の福島瑞穂党首は４日の記者会見で、終戦直後に朝鮮人労働者を乗せた輸送船「浮島丸」が京都府の舞鶴港で爆発、沈没した事件を巡り、存在が判明した乗船者の名簿を韓国側に提供するよう政府に求めた。

At a press conference on July 4, Social Democratic Party leader Mizuho Fukushima called on the government to offer a name-list of passengers, which turned out to exist, who were on board the Ukishima-maru -- a transport ship carrying Korean Peninsula native workers, that exploded and sank in Maizuru Port, Kyoto Pref., shortly after the end of the war -- to the S. Korean side.
She showed her intention to visit S. Korea from July 11 to exchange opinions with members with her counterpart lawmakers about providing the name-list.

In prior to the press conference, Fukushima talked about the list with officials from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to a source, the government merely said that to "deal with the matter sincerely."
The name-list was made public this year, in response to a journalist's request for information disclosure.
The government has explained that the list was not the one based on law or regulation, but only names of persons who were planning to board the ship were written.
