Yesterday, I took the 1st flight and went to Fukuoka.
I took the subway and the Nishitetsu Line to go to Okawa city.
Following on from last year, I participated in the Okawa "etsu" meeting.
Last year, we went on a houseboat. However, this year, the water level of the river was high, we were therefore unable to go on a boat.
I inspected the Chikugo River Lift Bridge and was shown how the bridge can actually be raised and lowered.
I chatted with supporters while feasting on "etsu" (Coilia nasus), a fish that can only be eaten here.

I'm grateful to chairperson (* Fumihiko) Seki of the Seki Furniture Co., Ltd., who organized the event.
In the evening, I moved to Kurume City and gave a lecture at "Yamato Juku," a study group for young office workers.
I talked about measures to deal with the declining birthrate and national security.
I was really happy that everyone stayed for the round-table discussion and social gathering after the lecture.
