Concerning that an advisory body to UNESCO, the International Council on Monuments and Sites" (ICOMOS), has recommented "information inquiry" to request an additional explanation on the "gold mines on Sado Island" which Japan has recommend to be listed on UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, at a press briefing on June 7, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said that "We accept the recommendation seriously, consider what's most effective in order for registration-realization at the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in July from the general perspective, and will deal with it as the whole government."
