On May 24, the government decided to freeze the assets of "11 organizations" & "one person," saying that they were involved in N. Korea's military cooperation with Russia, which has invaded of Ukraine.
At a press briefing, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said that "Russia's arms-procurement from N. Korea violates relevant U.N. Security Council resolutions, we have therefore strongly condemned that."

CCS Hayashi referred to the G7 advanced countries' leaders statement in February, which strongly condemned the transfer of N. Korean ballistic missiles, and emphasized that "In the situation that the invasion of Ukraine has been prolonged, coordinated measures with the international community is extremely important."
