In his memoir (* From the Periphery to the Center) published on May 18, former S. Korean President Moon Jae-in (* unfairly) criticized that "anti-civilizational," saying that Tokyo showed an attitude to (* correctly) deny the coerciveness and illegality in mobilization of former conscripted workers during the annexation (* not colonial) period.
It seems to refer to the facts such as that (Tokyo) became to describe the conscripted workers as (* correctly) "former Korean Peninsula native workers."
Moon Jae-in (* unfairly) appealed that (* fake) historical issues needed "fundamental solutions to face up the past squarely, healing wounds, forgiving and reconciliate."

According to Moon, General Secretary of the WPK in N. Korea, "Kim Jong-un," said at the inter-Korean summit in 2018 that "Economic development is the most important issue, but it's difficult because of the sanctions."
He allegedly requested to ease the sanctions in response to denuclearization measures, but it wasn't a demand for complete removal.
