> 高市早苗経済安全保障担当相は14日の記者会見で、経済安全保障上の機密情報へのアクセスを官民の有資格者に限る「セキュリティー・クリアランス（SC、適格性評価）」制度を創設する「重要経済安保情報保護・活用法」の成立を歓迎し、「経済安全保障のさらなる強化のために非常に重要だ。成立に尽力した皆さまに感謝申し上げたい」と述べた。
At a press briefing on May 14, Minister in charge of Economic Security Sanae Takaichi welcomed enactment of >"Act on the Protection and Utilization of Information Vital to Economic Security," which will establish the "Security Clearance" (SC) system, saying that "It's extremely important for further upgrade of economic security. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who worked hard to enact the law."

Since taking office as Economic Security Minister in August 2022, Takaichi worked hard in order to establish the law.
The bill was passed and enacted at an UH plenary session on May 10.

> 政府は有識者会議で運用基準の具体化に向けた検討を進める方針で、高市氏は「適格性評価を巡って対象者が不当な扱いを受けないようにすることは非常に重要だ。閣議決定する運用基準で具体的な禁止行為を明示し、悪質な違反行為が発覚した場合は契約解消の明確化も検討している」と語った。
Over the SC system, concerns about privacy-protection in the investigation and unclear range of classification are pointed out too.
The government has a policy to hold meetings of experts to proceed consideration in order to materialize an implementation standards. Minister Takaichi said that "It's extremely important to ensure that subjects aren't treated unfairly over the SC system. Concrete prohibited acts will be specified in an operational standards decided by a Cabinet decision, and we have been even considering to clarify the possibility of terminating a contract, if a malicious violation is discovered."

Minister Takaichi lectured on the significance of the SC system in Oita Ciand Kochi City on the 11th and 12th respectively. He said at the press conference that "I lectured on the importance of economic security and the potential of Japan's technological capabilities for growth.
