Yesterday, after a "lawmakers meeting" → "regular Diet session," I attended a workshop about continuous violation of human rights and religious freedom in Tibet by China.
The role of religion (Buddhism) in Tibet is far greater than we can imagine, and the cruel oppression to deprive that spiritual home of Tibetan people has been continued for a long time.
I heard that 157 persons committed self-immolation during that period.
I heard that the reason why the number decrease recently is that the remaining bereaved families are facing indescribable oppression.
We discussed what Japanese lawmakers can do to spread these facts to the world and halt China's tyranny.
