"Intel Corp." and "14 domestic companies including OMRON Corp." will jointly develop manufacturing technology in Japan in order to automate the "Post-processing" of semiconductors.
It aims to put it into practical use by 2028.
Labor costs accounts for a large portion of the post-processing involves, there it's done in China and Southeast Asia in many cases. Therefore it aim to reduce labor costs through automation, in order to complete the process in Japan.
