The Tokyo Constituency 15th by-election (Koto Ward), announced on April 16, is a hotly contested election, with nine candidates applied to run for one seat.
However, the ruling LDP and Komeito Party were able to neither field nor recommend a candidate.
The largest opposition CDPJ was absent from an online debate session hosted by the Tokyo Junior Chamber, saying the schedule to coordinate.
The ruling party lost it by default and the largest opposition party avoided the debate = it can hardly say to fulfill their responsibility as major parties.
Is this really acceptable?
