At a press briefing on April 2, concerning the news report by the KCNA that official(s) of the Japanese embassy in China contacted with the N. Korean side, FM Yoko Kamikawa said that "Though I know, I would like to refrain to comment on it."
At the same time, she mentioned that PM Fumio Kishida showed his intention to proceed a high-level talks under his direct control in order to realize Japan-N. Korea summit meeting, and said that "In order for that, working on N. Korea has been done in various forms."
