> 岸田文雄首相は指定や解除に加え、機密の取り扱いを有資格者に限定する「セキュリティー・クリアランス（SC、適格性評価）」の実施状況は内閣府が公表するとして「法案に国会報告の規定を置いていない」と述べた。
Over the new bill to expand preservation of confidential information to econoic security field, the >"Act on the Protection and Utilization of Information Vital to Economic Security," at a UH budget committee meeting on March 8, Minister for Economic Security Sanae Takaichi expressed that concrete operational standard such as designation and removal of confidentiality would be fixed by a cabinet meeting decision after hearing the views of experts after enactment of the bill.
PM Fumio Kishida said that, in addition to the designation and removal, the Cabinet Office would make public the status of implementation of the "security clearance (SC)" system, which will restrict the handling of confidential information to qualified personnel, and said that "any provisions to stipulate for reporting to the Diet aren't embedded in the Bill."

Under the Bill, information that must be kept confidential because its leakage could impede national security is designated as "important economic security information."
On that information, the prime minister explained that "it would be provided to a secret session of the Diet."
On the secret Diet session, he said that "The government is not in a position to say whether or not to establish an institution with functions similar to the information monitoring and review secretariat (correct name in English is unknown) in the Diet."
