> 上川陽子外相は 28日、日本国際問題研究所（東京）が都内で開いた国際会議「第５回東京グローバル・ダイアログ」で基調講演し、「インド太平洋地域で日本が果たすべき責任」について、「力による一方的な現状変更の試みを牽制し、ひいては地域に戦争を起こさず、今ある平和を守り抜くことだ」と述べた。
On Feb. 28, FM Yoko Kamikawa made a key-note speech at an international conference held by the Japan Institute of International Affairs（Tokyo）in Tokyo, the "5th Tokyo global dialogue." She said that "The goal is to check attempts to unilaterally change the status quo by force, prevent war from occurring in the region, and protect the existing peace" on "responsibility Japan should fulfill in the Indo-Pacific Region."
> 上川氏は、岸田文雄首相が４月に予定する国賓待遇の訪米に向けて、「外相としてしっかり尽力していく」と強調。
>「インド太平洋で日米の協力を具体的な形で広げ、深めていくことが、米国のこの地域へのコミットメントを維持・強化する上でも死活的に重要だ」と語った。
FM Kamikawa emphasized that she would "do my best as Foreign Minister" in preparation for PM Fumio Kishida's state visit to the U.S. in April.
She said that "Expanding and deepening U.S.-Japan cooperation in concrete ways in the Indo-Pacific is vitally important to maintain and upgrade U.S. commitment to the region."
> また、「インド太平洋地域の平和を守る上で中国を抜きに考えることはできない」とも述べ、「建設的かつ安定的な日中関係」を双方の努力で構築する方針を重ねて示した。
In addition, she also stated that "It's impossible to ignore China in considering preserving peace in the Indo-Pacific region," and reiterated the policy of building a "constructive and stable Sino-Japan relations" through mutual efforts.
