> 演習に参加した米空軍は嘉手納基地に駐屯している戦力で、今回の演習のため今月21日に韓国キョンギド（京畿道）のオサン（烏山）米軍基地に一時展開した。
On Feb. 23, S. Korean- and U.S. forces conducted "joint air drills" in which many fighters, including the 5th generation fighter jets "F-35A," participated.
S. Korean air force's F-35A, KF-16, F-15K and F-5E/E, and U.S. Air Force's F-35A participated in the military exercises this time.
The U.S. air force participated in the drills was the war capability stationing at Kadena Air Base (* Okinawa), and was temporarily deployed at Osan Air Base (* Pyeongtaek) in Gyeonggi Province in S. Korea on Feb. 21.

S. Korean air force explained that "In the exercises this time, S. Korean- and U.S. F-35As formed one team and successfully conducted a defense air superiority mission -- intercepting and shooting down hypothetical enemy aircraft and cruise missiles invading our territorial airspace" and "We showed perfect teamwork and operation-implementation ability."
