On Jan. 24, U.S. naval 7th Fleet (Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Pref.) releaded that, the missile destroyer USS John Finn (DDG 113) transited the Taiwan Strait on that day.
It kept the Xi Jinping administration in China in check, which says that unification with Taiwan using force is an option.

It stated that >"No member of the international community should be intimidated or coerced into giving up their rights and freedoms," while taking it into consideration that China has been upgrading military pressure on Taiwan.
