On Jan. 21, the central government and Kagoshima- and Kumamoto prefectures conducted a field training exercise on Yakushima in Kagoshima Pref. to evacuate residents to mainland Kyushu in anticipation of an armed attack from another country.
In response to a serious atmosphere in which even the SDF aircraft were dispatched, the islanders watched the training with anxiety.
The government explains that it doesn't anticipate any specific situation, but it seems that military power strengthening by China is in mind.

The training was conducted that the government certified an "anticipated armed attack situation."
This was done based on the assumption that it directed (the residents) to evacuate to in Kumamoto Prefecture and Kagoshima City based on the Armed Attack Situations Response Act.
Approx. 50 organizations participated in it, including the Cabinet Secretariat and related ministries and agencies.
Local fire departments and so on confirmed the procedure for transporting a doll shaped like a hospitalized patient from the hospital into an ambulance and into an Air SDF helicopter.
