On Jan. 3, LH lawmaker Mio Sugita (LDP) newly posted on her X (formerly Twitter).
She warned to be careful to persons entering the striken areas, in response to a large earthquake with a maximum seismic intensity of 7 occurred mainly in the Noto region in Ishikawa Pref. at around 4:10 pm on Jan. 1.
Sugita started to wrote that 'In response to this earthquake, I have received many comments, saying that "Go to the affected region immediately, you!",' and quoted a blog entry of former Mayor of Hyogo Pref. Nishinomiya City, Takeshi Imamura, saying that "I share this article every time a major disaster occurs. Everyone, please read it once again."

After writing that "The following is a quote," she wrote that "First of all, never go to a affected region unless you are invited. Access is already chaotic, with persons trying to leave the affected region, support forces trying to enter and families. It's therefore very disturbing. Unregulated, unequipped and untrained "volunteers" are nothing more than onlookers & tourists. It's completely useless."

She went on to wrote that "Next, don't send anything unless requested" too.
