グーデン・カロルス・トリプル は、もともと金羊毛騎士団のために造られたビールです。
この騎士団はブルージュ市に設立され、最終的にヨーロッパで最も名誉のある騎士団の一つになりました。
このビールは、醸造技術の進歩にもかかわらず、姉妹品のグーデン・カロルス・クラシックと同じように古い伝統に従い醸造されています。
成熟した大麦や洗練されたホップのような厳選された原材料は、可能な限り純粋な味を守るために使用されています。
このビールには、ペール麦芽、ベルギーのホップ、そして100％天然の原材料しか使われていません。
鮮やかな金色の見た目は、きめ細かで強い炭酸を感じさせます。
スターアニス、ミント、コリアンダーのようなスパイシーな香りがアロマを支配します。
素朴さと酵母感の組合せは、ビールの味わいの中にもスパイシーさを感じる事が出来ます。
これは、キャラメルの甘味の中に感じる軽い苦味、そして暖かい口当たりの様に非常にバランスのとれた後味をもたらします。
フルボディな感覚の中にとても爽やかさを感じさせる複雑さを秘めたビールです。

2002年には、ワールド・ビア・カップで金賞を受賞しました。
2010年にはヨーロピアン・ビア・スターで、また2012年にがワールド・ビア・アワードでも金賞を取り、「ゴールデン・ハットトリック」を達成しました。
Gouden Carolus Tripel was originally brewed for the Order of the Golden Fleece, an order of chivalry founded in Bruges which eventually became one of the most prestigious orders in Europe.
Despite technological advances the beer is still brewed according to ancient tradition, just like its older brother Gouden Carolus Classic.
The best raw materials like ripe barley and fine hops are used to preserve as much of the intended, pure flavor.
To brew this beer only pale malts, Belgian hops and 100% natural ingredients are used.
The brilliant golden blond color reveals the fine but strong effervescence.
Spicy fragrances like star anise, mint and coriander dominate the aroma.
The same spiciness also can be found in the taste where it is combined with an earthy, yeasty touch. This makes for a very balanced aftertaste which is caramel sweet but with a light bitterness and warm mouthfeel.
The complexity of this beer makes that it is both full bodied as very refreshing.
The world class of Gouden Carolus Tripel is recognized at various beer contests all around the world. Already in 2002 it won a gold award at the World Beer Cup, just to repeat this trick in 2010 at the European Beer Star and in 2012 at the World Beer Awards, completing a “golden hattrick”.

Mechelen ( メッヘレン ) 市の古い記録によれば、 Brouwerij Het Anker の歴史は1471 年まで遡ることができます。
現在、ベルギーで操業している醸造所として、最古の醸造所になります。
1990 年代の終わり頃、シャルレ・ レクレ ( Charles Leclef ) が醸造所の再生計画をスタートさせ、生産設備への新規投資と醸造所の古い建物の修復にとりかかりました。
醸造所の歴史的建造物は、パブやレストランを併設したビール博物館として親しまれています。
