2「アロンとその子らに話して，彼らがイスラエルの子らの聖なるものから離れているように，[民]がわたしに対して神聖なものとしている事物に関して彼らがわたしの聖なる名を汚すことのないようにしなさい。わたしはエホバである。
2「アロンとその子たちに告げて、イスラエルの人々の聖なる物、すなわち、彼らがわたしにささげる物をみだりに用いて、わたしの聖なる名を汚さないようにさせなさい。わたしは主である。

2 “Tell Aaron and his sons that they should be careful how they handle the holy things of the Israelites and not profane my holy name regarding the things they are sanctifying to me. I am Jehovah.
2 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they do not profane My holy name by what they dedicate to Me: I am the LORD.
2 “Tell Aaron and his sons to be careful with the holy gifts of the sons of Israel, which they dedicate to Me, so as not to profane My holy name; I am the LORD.
2 “Tell Aaron and his sons to treat with respect the sacred offerings the Israelites consecrate to me, so they will not profane my holy name. I am the LORD.

3彼らにこう言いなさい。『あなた方の代々にわたり，そのすべての子孫のうち，身に汚れがありながらイスラエルの子らがエホバに対して神聖にする聖なる事物に近づく者がいれば，その魂はわたしの前から断たれねばならない。わたしはエホバである。
3彼らに言いなさい、『あなたがたの代々の子孫のうち、だれでも、イスラエルの人々が主にささげる聖なる物に、汚れた身をもって近づく者があれば、その人はわたしの前から断たれるであろう。わたしは主である。

3 Say to them, ‘Throughout your generations, any of your offspring who, while he is unclean, comes near to the holy things that the Israelites sanctify to Jehovah, that person will be cut off from before me. I am Jehovah.
3 “Say to them: ‘Whoever of all your descendants throughout your generations, who goes near the holy things which the children of Israel dedicate to the LORD, while he has uncleanness upon him, that person shall be cut off from My presence: I am the LORD.
3 “Say to them, ‘If any man among all your descendants throughout your generations approaches the holy gifts which the sons of Israel dedicate to the LORD, while he has an uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from before Me; I am the LORD.
3 “Say to them: ‘For the generations to come, if any of your descendants is ceremonially unclean and yet comes near the sacred offerings that the Israelites consecrate to the LORD, that person must be cut off from my presence. I am the LORD.

4アロンの子孫のだれも，らい病であったり漏出があったりするときには，清くなるまでは聖なるものを食べてはいけない。死亡した魂によって汚されただれかに触れた者，あるいは射精のあった者，
4アロンの子孫のうち、だれでも、らい病の者、また流出ある者は清くなるまで、聖なる物を食べてはならない。また、すべて死体によって汚れた物に触れた者、精を漏らした者、
4アロンの子孫のうち、らい病人、または漏出のある者はだれでも、きよくなるまで聖なるものを食べてはならない。また、死体によって汚されたものに触れる者、精を漏らす者、
4 No man of Aaron’s offspring who has leprosy or a discharge may eat of the holy things until he becomes clean, neither the man who touches someone who became unclean by a dead person, nor a man who has a seminal emission,
4 ‘Whatever man of the descendants of Aaron, who is a leper or has a discharge, shall not eat the holy offerings until he is clean. And whoever touches anything made unclean by a corpse, or a man who has had an emission of semen,
4 ‘No man of the descendants of Aaron, who is a leper or who has a discharge, may eat of the holy gifts until he is clean. And if one touches anything made unclean by a corpse or if a man has a seminal emission,
4 “ ‘If a descendant of Aaron has a defiling skin disease or a bodily discharge, he may not eat the sacred offerings until he is cleansed. He will also be unclean if he touches something defiled by a corpse or by anyone who has an emission of semen,

5また自分にとって汚れている群がるもののどれかに触れたり，何かの汚れの点で自分にとって汚れている者に触れたりした者についても[同様である]。
5または、すべて人を汚す這うものに触れた者、または、どのような汚れにせよ、人を汚れさせる人に触れた者、

5 nor a man who touches an unclean swarming creature or who touches a man who is unclean for any reason and who can make him unclean.
5 ‘or whoever touches any creeping thing by which he would be made unclean, or any person by whom he would become unclean, whatever his uncleanness may be—
5 or if a man touches any teeming things by which he is made unclean, or any man by whom he is made unclean, whatever his uncleanness;
5 or if he touches any crawling thing that makes him unclean, or any person who makes him unclean, whatever the uncleanness may be.

6このようなものに触れた魂は夕方まで汚れた者とされなければならず，聖なるものを食べることをゆるされない。そして彼はその身に水を浴びなければならない。

6 The person who touches any of these will be unclean until the evening and may not eat any of the holy things, but he should bathe himself in water.
6 ‘the person who has touched any such thing shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat the holy offerings unless he washes his body with water.

6 The one who touches any such thing will be unclean till evening. He must not eat any of the sacred offerings unless he has bathed himself with water.

7 When the sun has set, he will be clean, and afterward he may eat some of the holy things because it is his food.
7 ‘And when the sun goes down he shall be clean; and afterward he may eat the holy offerings, because it is his food.
7 ‘But when the sun sets, he will be clean, and afterward he shall eat of the holy gifts, for it is his food.
7 When the sun goes down, he will be clean, and after that he may eat the sacred offerings, for they are his food.

8彼はまた，[すでに]死体となっていたものや野獣に引き裂かれたものを食べて汚れた者となってはいけない。わたしはエホバである。
8自然に死んだもの、または裂き殺されたものを食べ、それによって身を汚してはならない。わたしは主である。

8 Also, he should not eat any animal found dead or anything torn by wild animals and become unclean by it. I am Jehovah.
8 ‘Whatever dies naturally or is torn by beasts he shall not eat, to defile himself with it: I am the LORD.
8 ‘He shall not eat an animal which dies or is torn by beasts, becoming unclean by it; I am the LORD.
8 He must not eat anything found dead or torn by wild animals, and so become unclean through it. I am the LORD.

9「『こうして彼らはわたしに対する自分たちの務めを守らねばならない。それのゆえに罪を負い，それのため，それを汚していることのゆえに死ぬようなことのないためである。わたしはエホバ，彼らを神聖にしている者である。
9それゆえに、彼らはわたしの言いつけを守らなければならない。彼らがこれを汚し、これがために、罪を獲て死ぬことのないためである。わたしは彼らを聖別する主である。
9彼らがわたしの戒めを守るなら、彼らが、これを汚し、そのために罪を負って、死ぬことはない。わたしは彼らを聖別する主である。
9 “‘They must keep their obligation to me, so that they may not incur sin because of it and have to die for it because they were profaning it. I am Jehovah, who is sanctifying them.
9 ‘They shall therefore keep My ordinance, lest they bear sin for it and die thereby, if they profane it: I the LORD sanctify them.
9 ‘They shall therefore keep My charge, so that they will not bear sin because of it and die thereby because they profane it; I am the LORD who sanctifies them.
9 “ ‘The priests are to perform my service in such a way that they do not become guilty and die for treating it with contempt. I am the LORD, who makes them holy.

10「『また，よそ人はだれも聖なるものを食べてはいけない。祭司のもとにいる移住者も雇われた労働者も聖なるものを食べてはいけない。
10すべて一般の人は聖なる物を食べてはならない。祭司の同居人や雇人も聖なる物を食べてはならない。
10一般のものはだれも聖なるものを食べてはならない。祭司と同居している者や雇い人は、聖なるものを食べてはならない。
10 “‘No unauthorized person may eat anything holy. No foreign guest of a priest or hired worker may eat anything holy.
10 ‘No outsider shall eat the holy offering; one who dwells with the priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat the holy thing.
10 ‘No layman, however, is to eat the holy gift; a sojourner with the priest or a hired man shall not eat of the holy gift.
10 “ ‘No one outside a priest’s family may eat the sacred offering, nor may the guest of a priest or his hired worker eat it.

11ただし，祭司が自分の金で買い取るものとしてある魂を買い取った場合であれば，そのような者として彼はそれを食べることにあずかってよい。その家で生まれた奴隷も，そのような者としてそのパンを食べることにあずかってよい。
11しかし、祭司が金をもって人を買った時は、その者はこれを食べることができる。またその家に生れた者も祭司の食物を食べることができる。

11 But if a priest should purchase someone with his own money, that person may share in eating it. Slaves born in his house may also share in eating his food.
11 ‘But if the priest buys a person with his money, he may eat it; and one who is born in his house may eat his food.
11 ‘But if a priest buys a slave as his property with his money, that one may eat of it, and those who are born in his house may eat of his food.
11 But if a priest buys a slave with money, or if slaves are born in his household, they may eat his food.
12
12また，祭司の娘がよその男のものとなった場合であれば，そのような者として彼女は聖なるものである寄進物を食べることをゆるされない。
12もし祭司の娘が一般の人にとついだならば、彼女は聖なる供え物を食べてはならない。
12祭司の娘が一般の人と結婚したなら、彼女は聖なる奉納物を食べてはならない。
12 If the daughter of a priest should marry someone who is not a priest, she may not eat of the contribution of the holy things.
12 ‘If the priest’s daughter is married to an outsider, she may not eat of the holy offerings.
12 ‘If a priest’s daughter is married to a layman, she shall not eat of the offering of the gifts.
12 If a priest’s daughter marries anyone other than a priest, she may not eat any of the sacred contributions.

13しかし，祭司の娘が子を持たないうちにやもめまたは離婚された者となり，若い時と同じように父の家に戻らねばならない場合，彼女は父のパンの中から食べてよい。しかし，よそ人はだれもそれを食べてはいけない。
13もし祭司の娘が、寡婦となり、または出されて、子供もなく、その父の家に帰り、娘の時のようであれば、その父の食物を食べることができる。ただし、一般の人は、すべてこれを食べてはならない。
13祭司の娘がやもめ、あるいは離婚された者となり、子どももなく、娘のときのように再びその父の家に戻っていれば、その父の食物を食べることができる。しかし、一般の者はだれもそれを食べてはならない。
13 But if the daughter of a priest should become a widow or is divorced and she has no offspring and she returns to her father’s house as in her youth, she may eat some of her father’s food; but no unauthorized person may eat it.
13 ‘But if the priest’s daughter is a widow or divorced, and has no child, and has returned to her father’s house as in her youth, she may eat her father’s food; but no outsider shall eat it.
13 ‘But if a priest’s daughter becomes a widow or divorced, and has no child and returns to her father’s house as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s food; but no layman shall eat of it.
13 But if a priest’s daughter becomes a widow or is divorced, yet has no children, and she returns to live in her father’s household as in her youth, she may eat her father’s food. No unauthorized person, however, may eat it.

14「『さて，人が間違って聖なるものを食べた場合，その者は五分の一を加えてその聖なるものを祭司に渡さねばならない。
14もし人があやまって聖なる物を食べるならば、それにその五分の一を加え、聖なる物としてこれを祭司に渡さなければならない。
14だれかが、あやまって聖なるものを食べるなら、それにその五分の一を足して、その聖なるものを祭司に渡す。
14 “‘Now if a man eats a holy thing by mistake, he must add a fifth of its value and give the holy offering to the priest.
14 ‘And if a man eats the holy offering unintentionally, then he shall restore a holy offering to the priest, and add one-fifth to it.
14 ‘But if a man eats a holy gift unintentionally, then he shall add to it a fifth of it and shall give the holy gift to the priest.
14 “ ‘Anyone who eats a sacred offering by mistake must make restitution to the priest for the offering and add a fifth of the value to it.
15
15それで彼らはイスラエルの子らがエホバに寄進する聖なるものを汚さないようにすべきである。
15祭司はイスラエルの人々が、主にささげる聖なる物を汚してはならない。
15イスラエル人に、その主に奉納する聖なるものを汚し、
15 So they should not profane the holy things of the Israelites that they contribute to Jehovah
15 ‘They shall not profane the holy offerings of the children of Israel, which they offer to the LORD,
15 ‘They shall not profane the holy gifts of the sons of Israel which they offer to the LORD,
15 The priests must not desecrate the sacred offerings the Israelites present to the LORD
16
16こうして，聖なるものを食べたことによる有罪の処罰を人々に負わせるようなことのないようにすべきである。わたしはエホバ，彼らを神聖にしている者なのである』」。
16人々が聖なる物を食べて、その罪のとがを負わないようにさせなければならない。わたしは彼らを聖別する主である』」。

16 and cause themselves to incur punishment for their guilt because of eating their holy things; for I am Jehovah, who is sanctifying them.’”
16 ‘or allow them to bear the guilt of trespass when they eat their holy offerings; for I the LORD sanctify them.’ ”
16 and so cause them to bear punishment for guilt by eating their holy gifts; for I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’”
16 by allowing them to eat the sacred offerings and so bring upon them guilt requiring payment. I am the LORD, who makes them holy.’ ”

18「アロンとその子らおよびイスラエルのすべての子らに話しなさい。彼らにこう言うように。『だれでもイスラエルの家の者あるいはイスラエルにいる外人居留者で捧げ物をする者は，それが自分の何かの誓約のためであれ，あるいは何かの自発的な捧げ物のためであれ，焼燔の捧げ物としてエホバにささげるのであれば，
18「アロンとその子たち、およびイスラエルのすべての人々に言いなさい、『イスラエルの家の者、またはイスラエルにおる他国人のうちのだれでも、誓願の供え物、または自発の供え物を燔祭として主にささげようとするならば、
18「アロンとその子ら、またすべてのイスラエル人に告げて言え。だれでも、イスラエルの家の者、またはイスラエルにいる在留異国人がささげ物をささげ、誓願のささげ物、あるいは進んでささげるささげ物として、全焼のいけにえを主にささげるなら、
18 “Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the Israelites and say to them, ‘When an Israelite man or a foreign resident in Israel presents a burnt offering to Jehovah to fulfill his vows or to make a voluntary offering,
18 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘Whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, who offers his sacrifice for any of his vows or for any of his freewill offerings, which they offer to the LORD as a burnt offering—
18 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel or of the aliens in Israel who presents his offering, whether it is any of their votive or any of their freewill offerings, which they present to the LORD for a burnt offering—
18 “Speak to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites and say to them: ‘If any of you—whether an Israelite or a foreigner residing in Israel—presents a gift for a burnt offering to the LORD, either to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering,
19
19あなた方が是認を得るために，それはきずのないもので，牛や若い羊ややぎの群れの中の雄でなければならない。
19あなたがたの受け入れられるように牛、羊、あるいはやぎの雄の全きものをささげなければならない。

19 he should present a sound male from the herd, the young rams, or the goats, in order to gain approval.
19 ‘you shall offer of your own free will a male without blemish from the cattle, from the sheep, or from the goats.
19 for you to be accepted—it must be a male without defect from the cattle, the sheep, or the goats.
19 you must present a male without defect from the cattle, sheep or goats in order that it may be accepted on your behalf.

20 You must not present anything with a defect, for it will not serve to gain approval for you.
20 ‘Whatever has a defect, you shall not offer, for it shall not be acceptable on your behalf.
20 ‘Whatever has a defect, you shall not offer, for it will not be accepted for you.
20 Do not bring anything with a defect, because it will not be accepted on your behalf.

21「『また人が，誓約を果たすため，あるいは自発的な捧げ物として共与の犠牲をエホバにささげる場合，是認を得るために，それは牛もしくは羊の群れの中のきずのないものであるべきである。それには何の欠陥があってもいけない。
21もし人が特別の誓願をなすため、または自発の供え物のために、牛または羊を酬恩祭の犠牲として、主にささげようとするならば、その受け入れられるために、それは全きものでなければならない。それには、どんなきずもあってはならない。
21また、人が特別の誓願を果たすため、あるいは進んでささげるささげ物として、牛か羊の中から和解のいけにえを主にささげるときは、それが受け入れられるためには傷のないものでなければならない。それにはどのような欠陥もあってはならない。
21 “‘If a man presents a communion sacrifice to Jehovah to pay a vow or as a voluntary offering, it should be a sound animal from the herd or the flock, in order to gain approval. No defect at all should be in it.
21 ‘And whoever offers a sacrifice of a peace offering to the LORD, to fulfill his vow, or a freewill offering from the cattle or the sheep, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it.
21 ‘When a man offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD to fulfill a special vow or for a freewill offering, of the herd or of the flock, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it.
21 When anyone brings from the herd or flock a fellowship offering to the LORD to fulfill a special vow or as a freewill offering, it must be without defect or blemish to be acceptable.
22
22盲のもの，骨の砕けているもの，切り傷のあるもの，こぶのあるもの，かさぶたに覆われたもの，白癬のできたもの，これらのどれもあなた方はエホバにささげてはならない。火による捧げ物をそれらから取ってエホバのために祭壇に載せてはならない。
22すなわち獣のうちで、めくらのもの、折れた所のあるもの、切り取った所のあるもの、うみの出る者、かいせんの者、かさぶたのある者など、あなたがたは、このようなものを主にささげてはならない。また祭壇の上に、これらを火祭として、主にささげてはならない。
22盲のもの、折れたところのあるもの、傷のあるもの、あるいは、うみの出るもの、湿疹のあるもの、かさぶたのあるもの、あなたがたはこれらのものを主にささげてはならない。また、これらのものを主への火によるささげ物として祭壇の上にささげてはならない。
22 No offering should be blind, have a fracture, a cut, a wart, scabbiness, or ringworm; you must not present any of these to Jehovah or make such an offering on the altar for Jehovah.
22 ‘Those that are blind or broken or maimed, or have an ulcer or eczema or scabs, you shall not offer to the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them on the altar to the LORD.
22 ‘Those that are blind or fractured or maimed or having a running sore or eczema or scabs, you shall not offer to the LORD, nor make of them an offering by fire on the altar to the LORD.
22 Do not offer to the LORD the blind, the injured or the maimed, or anything with warts or festering or running sores. Do not place any of these on the altar as a food offering presented to the LORD.

23肢体の一つが長すぎるもしくは短すぎる雄牛や羊については，あなたはこれを自発的な捧げ物としてもよい。しかし，誓約のためであれば，それは是認をもって受け入れられるものとはならない。
23牛あるいは羊で、足の長すぎる者、または短すぎる者は、あなたがたが自発の供え物とすることはできるが、誓願の供え物としては受け入れられないであろう。

23 You may present a bull or a sheep with a limb that is too long or too short as a voluntary offering, but it will not be accepted with approval as a vow offering.
23 ‘Either a bull or a lamb that has any limb too long or too short you may offer as a freewill offering, but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
23 ‘In respect to an ox or a lamb which has an overgrown or stunted member, you may present it for a freewill offering, but for a vow it will not be accepted.
23 You may, however, present as a freewill offering an ox or a sheep that is deformed or stunted, but it will not be accepted in fulfillment of a vow.

24また，睾丸をつぶしたもの，砕いたもの，抜き取ったもの，切り取ったものをあなた方はエホバにささげてはならない。あなた方の土地においてそのようなものをささげるべきではない。
24あなたがたは、こうがんの破れたもの、つぶれたもの、裂けたもの、または切り取られたものを、主にささげてはならない。またあなたがたの国のうちで、このようなことを、行ってはならない。
24あなたがたは、こうがんの押しつぶされたもの、砕けたもの、裂かれたもの、切り取られたものを主にささげてはならない。あなたがたの地でそのようなことをしてはならない。
24 You must not present to Jehovah one having the testicles damaged or crushed or pulled off or cut off, and you should not offer such animals in your land.
24 ‘You shall not offer to the LORD what is bruised or crushed, or torn or cut; nor shall you make any offering of them in your land.
24 ‘Also anything with its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut, you shall not offer to the LORD, or sacrifice in your land,
24 You must not offer to the LORD an animal whose testicles are bruised, crushed, torn or cut. You must not do this in your own land,
25
25また，これらすべてのいずれかを異国人の手から受けてあなた方の神のパンとしてささげてはならない。その腐れがそれにあるからである。それには欠陥がある。それはあなた方に対する是認をもって受け入れられるものとはならない』」。
25また、あなたがたは異邦人の手からこれらのものを受けて、あなたがたの神の食物としてささげてはならない。これらのものには欠点があり、きずがあって、あなたがたのために受け入れられないからである』」。

25 And you must not present any of these from the hand of a foreigner as the bread of your God, for they are corrupted and defective. They will not be accepted with approval for you.’”
25 ‘Nor from a foreigner’s hand shall you offer any of these as the bread of your God, because their corruption is in them, and defects are in them. They shall not be accepted on your behalf.’ ”
25 nor shall you accept any such from the hand of a foreigner for offering as the food of your God; for their corruption is in them, they have a defect, they shall not be accepted for you.’”
25 and you must not accept such animals from the hand of a foreigner and offer them as the food of your God. They will not be accepted on your behalf, because they are deformed and have defects.’ ”

26 Jehovah spoke further to Moses, saying:

27「雄牛，若い雄羊またはやぎが生まれた場合，それはその母のもとに七日とどまらねばならない。しかし八日目から後は，捧げ物すなわちエホバへの火による捧げ物として是認をもって受け入れられるものとなる。
27「牛、または羊、またはやぎが生れたならば、これを七日の間その母親のもとに置かなければならない。八日目からは主にささげる火祭として受け入れられるであろう。
27「牛か羊かやぎが生まれたときは、七日間、その母親といっしょにしておく。八日目以後、それは主への火によるささげ物として受け入れられる。
27 “When a bull or a young ram or a goat is born, it will continue with its mother for seven days, but from the eighth day forward it will be accepted with approval as an offering, an offering made by fire to Jehovah.
27 “When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and thereafter it shall be accepted as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
27 “When an ox or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall remain seven days with its mother, and from the eighth day on it shall be accepted as a sacrifice of an offering by fire to the LORD.
27 “When a calf, a lamb or a goat is born, it is to remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as a food offering presented to the LORD.

28雄牛と羊については，あなた方はそれとその子とを同じ日にほふってはならない。

28 As for a bull or a sheep, you must not slaughter it and its young on the same day.
28 “Whether it is a cow or ewe, do not kill both her and her young on the same day.

29「また，感謝の犠牲をエホバにささげる場合，あなた方は自分が是認を受けるためにこれを犠牲としてささげるべきである。

29 “If you sacrifice a thanksgiving sacrifice to Jehovah, you should sacrifice it to gain approval for yourselves.
29 “And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, offer it of your own free will.
29 “When you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, you shall sacrifice it so that you may be accepted.
29 “When you sacrifice a thank offering to the LORD, sacrifice it in such a way that it will be accepted on your behalf.

31「こうしてあなた方はわたしのおきてを守って，それを行なうように。わたしはエホバである。

31 “You must keep my commandments and carry them out. I am Jehovah.

32 You must not profane my holy name, and I must be sanctified in the midst of the Israelites. I am Jehovah, who is sanctifying you,
32 “You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel. I am the LORD who sanctifies you,
32 “You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be sanctified among the sons of Israel; I am the LORD who sanctifies you,
32 Do not profane my holy name, for I must be acknowledged as holy by the Israelites. I am the LORD, who made you holy

33あなた方をエジプトの地から携え出してあなた方の神たることを示している者である。わたしはエホバである」。
