Us3のリーダー、ジェフ・ウィルキンソンは
アルバム"stop. think. run."のリリースに寄せて、
そう語りました。

ご存じの方も多いかもしれませんが、Us3は
ロンドンを拠点とするジェフ・ウィルキンソンによって
創設され、1992年にはハービー・ハンコックの名曲
“Cantaloupe Island”のサンプルをフィーチャーして
大ヒットとなった“Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)が誕生。
この曲を含めたアルバム “Hand on the Torch”は
世界的ブームとなりブルーノート・レーベルとしては初の
プラチナ・ヒット(100万枚販売)を記録しました。

そんなUs3をロンドンから招いたイベントを、週末の夜、
日本橋XEXにて行います。

東京のジャズ／クロスオーバーDJとしては最高の３人、
沖野修也、松浦俊夫、竹花英二もプレーを披露。

イベントを華やかにするのはエッジーなロサンゼルスのブラン
ド、ボヘミアン・ソサエティのファッションショー。デザイナーの

ビクター・ワイルドによる衣装はハリウッドのセレブ、

アシュリー・シンプソン、アブリル・ラビーン、タイラ・バンクスや

パリス・ヒルトンにも愛用されています。

更に最高のエンタテイメントとなるようにラウンジスペースでは
別セットで５人のDJと世界中の文化イベントで活躍する
美欧(Miou)によるライブも行われます。

KenKuro and XEX proudly present Us3 DJ unit from London at
Nihonbashi, the starting point of Tokaido, the most
important road in Edo period, connecting Tokyo and Kyoto.
Even nowadays the distance of all the roads streching out
of Tokyo is measured from Nihonbashi.

Adding special glamour is a fashion show by Bohomian
Society, an edgy fashion label from L.A. designed by
Victor Wilde. His dresses are loved by Hollywood
celebrities including Ashlee Simpson, Avril Lavigne, Tyra
Banks and Paris Hilton.

We will also feature Tokyo's 3 top DJs in Jazz/Crossover
tunes; Okino Shuya (Kyoto Jazz Massive), Matsuura Toshio
(U.F.O.) and Takehana Eiji (JAZZBROTHERS).

The night will be full of entertainment as we will also
have a separate lounge set with 5 DJs and a live show by
Miou, who has performed in various cultural events around
the globe.

★Us3★

Us3 was founded by London-based Geoff Wilkinson. Their
album in 1992 that included "Cantaloop" , sampling the
famous number by Harbie Hancock, became a world phoenomen
and achieved the first platinum status in the history of
Blue Note Records. Geoff's style of incorporating all
genres music from Jazz, Bass & Drums, Latin and Hip Hop
never stops evolving and always surprises people with its
creativity.

DJ First Rate was a member of Scratch Perverts, the
legendary 4-men crew that won the first team champion at
DMC World Champiionship. His acrobatic play using every
part of body surely makes you hold your breath.

Victor Wilde is the creator and chief designer of the
lifestyle fashion brand
“Bohemian Society” Since its launch in 2003 his designs
have been appealing
worldwide to people of extraordinary taste. Victor often

☆OKINO SHUYA 沖野修也　(KYOTO JAZZ MASSIVE)

Okino Shuya is regarded as one of the most significant
figures in the club music scene in Japan.
His career has spanned 20 years, from starting his first
club Jazz night in Kyoto and forming Kyoto Jazz Massive
through opening The Room club in Shibuya and establishing
Tokyo Crossover Jazz Festival.
"ECLIPSE" released under Kyoto Jazz Massive earned No. 1
in UK's BBC radio Zubb chart for 3 consecutive weeks.
He is also active as a "music architect" for film
theaters, hotels, banks and airports.

DJ／クリエイティヴ・ディレクター／執筆家／世界唯一の選曲
評論家。渋谷のクラブ、The Roomプロデューサー、Tokyo

☆Matsuura Toshio 松浦俊夫

He formed United Future Organization (U.F.O.) in 1990 with
two other members which marked the foundation of Japanese
club culture.

In 12 years they released 5 albums in 32 countries,
creating high sensation of their jazz/crossover tunes.
After leaving U.F.O. in 2002 he kept playing solo and has
done remixes of James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire to Astor
Piazzolla and Gotan Project and created a compilation
series to major fashion brands. He hosts "Tokyo Moon" on
Inter FM from 7 p.m. every Sunday.

1990年にUnited Future Organization (U.F.O.)を結成。
日本に於けるクラブカルチャー創世記の礎を築きました。
12年間で５枚のフルアルバムを全世界32ケ国で発売、
高い評価を得ています。

He made his debut as Jazz Brothers on compilation
"Multidirection" supervised by United Future
Organization. Other labels have utilized Eiji
’s skills as a remixer. An list of credits includes Peter
Nice Trio(HOSPITAL), Florinda Bolkan(IRMA), Pizzicato
Five, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Kiyoshiro Imawano.
Three years from 1998 has seen Eiji performing at Yohji
Yamamoto's Paris Collection.
Eiji is currently the resident DJ for the MADO LOUNGE in
Roppongi, FIAT SPACE and club ever in Aoyama. We may
follow his radio DJ proposal at weekly radioshow
“Jazz Brothers” on Shibuya FM 78.4MHz.

United Future Organization （U.F.O.）監修の
コンピレイション『Multidirection』にてJazz Brothers名義でデビュー。
ピーター・ナイス・トリオ(HOSPITAL)、ピチカート・ファイヴ、
東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ、忌野清志郎、井出麻里子などの

パリ・コレクションにて選曲／DJを行いました。
