Thoughts after Marathon Classic - マラソンクラシックを終えて
Marathon Classic was held in Ohio.
Because I declined to participate last year due to covid,
it's been two years since I last played.
オハイオ州でのマラソンクラシック。
昨年はコロナの影響で出場を辞退した為
今年は2年振りの出場となりました。
It seemed that the course was renovated last year,
and it was a little bit different from 2019,
there were new bunkers and so on.
昨年、コースをリノベーションしたようで
2019年とは変わり新しいバンカーができたり
コースが少し変化していました。
Since Highland Meadows GC is my favorite course,
and my condition was getting better,
I was looking forward to this week.
However, when heading to the course on the first day
of the tournament, my rental car had a puncture
on the highway and it was upsetting ...
Highland Meadows GC は好きなコースですし
調子も上がって来ていたので
今週は、楽しみにしていましたが
試合初日のコースに向かっている際に
レンタカーが高速道路でパンクするハプニングが起こり
バタバタしてしまいました…
Thanks to the tournament staffs,
I could luckly make it to the starting time.
Thank you very much.
しかし、大会関係者の皆さんに助けていただき
スタート時間に間に合わす事ができました。
良かったです♪ありがとう。
I had 34 putts on the first day
but I could adjust my putting after finishing the first round
and improved to 28 putts on the second day.
初日は34パットと苦戦しましたが
ホールアウト後にパターの修正ができ
2日目はパターが初日よりも改善し28パット。
On the second day, there were a lot of close to birdie putts
that were regrettable but I gained little by little,
on the 14th hole par 3, I made a 7m birdie as I read
and an 1m birdie on the 15th hole par 4.
2日目はカップをかすり惜しいバーディーパットが沢山ありましたが
少しずつバーディーを重ね
14番パー3で7mを読み通りに決め
15番パー4では1mのバーディーを決め
I missed a 5m birdie chance on the 16th hole par 4
as well as a 4m chance on the 17th hole par 5
16番パー4は5mのバーディーチャンス
17番パー5は4mのバーディーチャンス
どちらもバーディーを逃し…
What's left for me was the 18th hole par 5,
I had a 3m birdie opportunity and
if I had made it, I could have gone through to the final rounds
but I missed the putt and missed a chance to play at the final.
望みをかけた、残すは18番パー5
3mのバーディーチャンス。
これを沈めたら決勝へ駒を進める事ができましたが
決める事ができずに予選落ちとなりました。
It was a tournament
where the 5 over on the first day lingered
but I felt good with my putting.
初日の5オーバーが響いてしまった試合となりましたが
パターの手応えを感じました。
In addition, 4 under on the second day was good and
help me lead to the next match.
I will do my best to make adjustments
so that I can play stable golf throughout the four days.
また、2日目の4アンダーは次戦に向けて
良い手応えもあるのでした。
4日間通して安定したゴルフを展開できるよう調整して頑張ります。
