My thoughts... - 思い。。。
Although I am from Okinawa
(where thyphoons are common),
the damages caused by the 15th and
19th thyphoons were beyound my imagination
and I don't even know what to say.
台風15号、19号による甚大な被害には、
台風が多い沖縄出身の私にも想像を絶するもので、ただ言葉を失うばかりです。
My condolences to those who lost their lives
due to the disasters.
この度の災害で亡くなられた皆様のご冥福をお祈りいたします。
I also feel for those who have been suffering
from the disasters and those who lost their loved ones.
また、災害に遭われた皆さま、大切な人を亡くされた皆さま、
心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
There must be many people who are still away
from their ordinary living and going through hardship
and inconvenience.
I hope the restration could happen quickly and
you could go back to your stable life.
まだまだ平常の生活に戻れない中、辛く、不自由なことも多いことだとお察しします。
一日も早い復興と安心な生活に戻れますよう心から願っています。
In Okinawa, Shuri castle was burn down.
沖縄では首里城焼失。
It was as if we've had a hole in our heart
by losing our historical and important castle
which is also a symbol for peace.
I now realized how much Shuri castle meant for us.
沖縄の歴史、平和の象徴である大切なお城を失い
心にポッカリ穴が空いてしまったようで、
私たちウチナーンチュの心に占める
首里城の大きさを改めて感じています。
For rebuilding the castle,
the support network for cheering and
donations are spreading through not only
among those who are living in Okinawa
but also national and international levels.
再建に向けて
沖縄県民のみならず、国内、世界から
応援の言葉や寄付金など、支援の輪が広がっています。
To restore the beautiful Shuri castle
together with everyone,
I'd also like to help rebuild.
みんなの力で再び美しい首里城を復興させるため、
私も再建に協力したいと思います。
I spoke with my office,
事務局と相談し、
and all the money we gather
by selling the "2020 Ayako Uehara original calendars"
will go towards rebuilding Shuri castle.

全額を首里城再建の寄付金として届けたいと思います。
