去る4月14日の日曜日に、徳島クレメントホテルで開催された、
「阿波ヤマト財団」設立記念パーティーに参加した結果を報告させていただきます。
It was held at the Tokushima Clement Hotel on Sunday, April 14th.
I would like to report the results of my participation in the "Awa Yamato Foundation" establishment anniversary party.
はるか遠くの古に思いを馳せ、神々として祭られるご先祖様たちとの絆を感じ取る。
と、同時に、阿波の国徳島県の魅力を、世界に向けて発信される。
実に素晴らしいことです。
Thinking back to the distant past and feeling the bond with our ancestors who are worshiped as gods.
At the same time, the charm of Tokushima Prefecture, Awa Province, will be communicated to the world.
That's really wonderful.
開会前に、元駐日イスラエル大使の、エリ・コーヘンさんに逢えて感無量です。
Before the opening,
I was thrilled to meet Eli Cohen, former Israeli ambassador to Japan.

阿波ヤマト財団、理事長の、玉野 勝彦氏の理事長挨拶です。

続いて、来賓あいさつです。
Next is greetings from the guests.
先ずは、徳島県知事の、後藤田正純さん。
First of all, Masazumi Gotoda, Governor of Tokushima Prefecture.
更に、天皇即位祭礼の、大嘗祭で用いられる 
アラタエを、調進できる唯一無二の御殿人（みあらかんど）の、三木信夫さん
The next guest speech is
Nobuo Miki is the one and only mirakando who can prepare the Aratae used in the Daijosai, the Emperor's enthronement festival.
更に更に、古代の、ユダヤと日本の風習・文化を研究されている。
元駐日イスラエル大使の、エリ・コーヘンさん。

Eli Cohen is a former Israeli ambassador to Japan who studies ancient Jewish and Japanese customs and culture.
来賓祝辞のオオトリです。
「世界の全ての宗教は実は一つである。」との研究をされている、神戸平和研究所の、杣 浩二 会長さん。
This is the last part of the guest's congratulatory speech.
He is conducting research that says, "All the world's religions are actually one."
Koji Sho, Chairman of the Kobe Peace Research Institute.
来賓祝辞に続いて、評議代表挨拶です。
竹岡 誠治さん、島勝 神一さん、笹川英治さん、表博耀さん及び三村隆範さんが、壇上での挨拶です。
Following the congratulatory speeches from the guests, there was a speech from the council representative.
Seiji Takeoka, Kamiichi Shimakatsu, Eiji Sasagawa, Hiroo Omote, and Takanori Mimura gave speeches on stage.
続いて、理事代表挨拶です。
香川宣子さん、玉野勝彦さん、笹田孝至さん、久保征司さん、山本高弘さん及び福山正啓さんが、壇上での挨拶です。

前段最後は、
「皇都ヤマトは阿波だった」の著作紹介で。阿波ヤマト財団副理事長の笹田孝至さんの説明解説がありました。
The last part of the first part is

私は、所要のため、この時点で退席させて頂きました。
I had to leave the meeting at this point due to necessary circumstances.
この素晴らしいパーティーを、僅かな会費にも拘わらす、立派に開催された主催者の方々に感謝すると共に、沢山の御土産まで用意して下さっていた事に驚いています。
有難う御座いました。
I would like to thank the organizers for organizing this wonderful party despite the small membership fee, and I was surprised that they even provided so many souvenirs.

余談ですが、
来賓の、「後藤田 正純」徳島県知事の、大伯父さんの「後藤田 正治さん」の、講演を拝聴したことがあります。
昭和55年の10月に、当時の「武市 恭信」徳島県知事の招聘に応じられた、当時の後藤田自治大臣が講演して下さいました。
By the way,
I once listened to a lecture by Mr. Masaharu Gotoda, the great uncle of the guest of honor, Masazumi Gotoda, the governor of Tokushima Prefecture.
In October 1980, then Minister of Home Affairs Gotoda, who was invited by then Tokushima Prefecture Governor Yasunobu Takeichi, gave a lecture.
戦前の内務官僚は、台湾や朝鮮半島に赴任する際には、2人に1人が「三事忠告」と言う本を胸に抱き、赴任したそうです。
この為、内務官僚は、内地との区別なく、清廉潔白で、かつ、自分の与えられた職分を果たすために満身の努力を怠りなく続けていたとの事を、お聞かせ頂きました。
私は、直ぐにこの本を購入し、韋編三絶したのですが、短い文面の中に広がる宇宙の用に広大な論理展開に四苦八苦したものです。
It is said that one in two pre-war Home Affairs bureaucrats carried a book called ``Three Points of Advice'' close to their hearts when they were assigned to Taiwan or the Korean Peninsula.
For this reason, I was told that the Home Affairs bureaucrats, regardless of whether they were domestic or domestic, were clean and honest, and continued to do their best to fulfill their assigned duties.
I immediately bought this book and was completely blown away by it, but I struggled with the vast logical development of the universe in such a short text.
新しく国土となった地域に、内務官僚を赴任させていた事から分かる様に、
私達の先祖には、植民地支配と言う概念はなく、
これらの地域に、帝国大学を始めとする数々の学校を建て、数多くの教育とインフラ整備を
行いました。
As can be seen from the fact that Home Affairs bureaucrats were assigned to areas that were newly part of the country,
Our ancestors had no concept of colonial rule.
In these areas, numerous schools including the Imperial University were built, and numerous educational and infrastructure improvements were made.
我が国が、これらの地域が、戦後、西欧支配から独立し発展するための、礎を築いてきた近現代の歴史も、後世に伝え続けるべきではと考えています。
I believe that Japan should continue to pass on to future generations the modern and contemporary history that has laid the foundation for these regions to become independent from Western European domination and develop after the war.
