お花見の文化はいつ頃から始まったのでしょうか？
When did the culture of Plum cherry blossom viewing begin?
倭国の女王姫子が登場する魏志倭人伝が書かれるた時代より、少しだけ古い漢の時代には、既に花見がされていたらしいです。
It seems that cherry blossom viewing was already practiced in the Han Dynasty, which is a little older than the time when Gishi Wajinden, in which Queen Himeko of Wakoku appears, was written.
吉川英治の『三国志』（三国志演義）では、三国時代の英雄、魏の曹操が梅園で癒される様子が描かれています。
Eiji Yoshikawa's Romance of the Three Kingdoms describes how Cao Cao of Wei, a hero of the Three Kingdoms period, is healed in a plum garden.
当時は、桜の花見ではなくて、梅の花を見て癒されていたらしいですね。
At that time, it seems that people were more healed by looking at plum blossoms than cherry blossom viewing.

梅の花見
徳島県の神山町阿野地区では、四国一広大な梅畑が広がり、開花の時期になると、来訪者の目を楽しませてくれています。
The Ano district of Kamiyama Town in Tokushima Prefecture has the largest plum field in Shikoku, and it is a feast for the eyes of visitors during the blooming season.
「梅は咲いたか、桜はまだかいな。」の歌のとおり、梅は2から3月頃に、桜は3から4月頃に開花を迎えます。
As the song goes, "Have the plum blossoms bloomed? The cherry blossoms haven't bloomed yet." Plum blossoms bloom from February to March, and cherry blossoms bloom from March to April.
