Cast prepare for city story

Buxton Opera House's pantomime for 2009 will open this weekend.

The cast and back-stage crew are gearing up to present Dick Whittington, which will run from Saturday, December 12, to Saturday, January 2.

The family favourite tells the story of a London facing its darkest hour as the evil King Rat plots to take over.

Cassandra Benton-Gabriel Frank

WOOSTER -- Cassandra Benton and Gabriel Franks were united in marriage on June 12 at Hands of Grace United Pentecostal Church, Wooster. The Rev. Steven R. Smith performed A&F Tees Mens the 3:30 p.m. wedding ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of William and Amanda Benton of Wooster. The groom is the son Jay Franks of Moreland and the late Bambi Franks.

The church was decorated with a white pergola with a flower arrangement on it.

The bride wore a strapless bustier-style, dropped waist, A-line gown, accented with crystals and beading on lace appliques with tulle and lace over shantung. She wore a tiara and carried apple red, orange and yellow gerbera daisies with small white roses, calla lilies and ivy. The bouquet was made by her grandmother, Nancy Yurick.

Apple red dresses were worn by matron of honor, Lindsey Miller and bridesmaids, Tara Benton, Christie Hill and Jessica Barnett. They carried a smaller version of the bride's bouquet.

Flower girl, Lauren Yurick, wore an ivory dress and moncler carried red flower petals.

Ring bearer was Terry Taylor Jr.

Best man was Curt Wellington, with groomsmen, Clint See, Shane Gardner and James Davis. Ushers were Dan Michaels and Wyatt Gardner.

A reception for 85 guests was held at the home of the bride's parents. Guest book attendant was Kristine Davis.

The bride and groom are residing in Moreland, following a wedding trip to Hocking Hills.

The bride is a graduate of Northwestern High School and is employed by the Apple Creek Banking Co.

Cincinnati Reds

The groom is a graduate of Triway High School and Wayne County Schools Career Center. He is employed by Southwood Pallet & Lumber.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Hands of Grace UPC.
