開山1200余年の修禅寺
Shuzenji Temple was founded in more than 1200 years ago.
令和６年修禅寺は、吉野真常老師がご自身のお寺へお戻りになられ、代わって44世熊田慧照新命住職が入山されました。
In 2024, Shuzenji Temple saw the return of Master Yoshino Shinjo to his own temple, and Kumada Kesho has been appointed as the 44rd chief priest of
Shuzenji Temple.
新しいご住職がお寺に入ると行われる
晋山式
が、明日6月9日8時より、修禅寺本堂にて開かれます。
The religous ceremony called Shinzan-shiki to commemorate the new chief priest assignment will be opened at the main hall of Shuzenji Temple from 8 a.m. tomorrow, 9 June.
「晋山式とは」
晋山の「晋」という字は「普通」の「普」という文字のお上の二つの点を取った文字。
この字は「進む」という意味です。
山というのはお寺の事ですから、晋山とは「お寺に進む」すなわち「新しいご住職がお寺に入る」という意味です。
晋山式は、修禅寺の宗旨である曹洞宗の管長様より、新しい住職任命の辞令を受けて皆様へのお披露目として執り行われる儀式ですが、大勢の方々にお集まり頂いての盛大な儀式となるため、相応の準備が必要となり、新住職が決まってすぐに晋山式を執り行うという訳にはなかなか参りません。
修禅寺ではこの度、壇信徒の皆様や近隣のお寺様方など、多くのご協力を頂き、この佳き日を迎えることとなりました。
午前8時、新井旅館を出発し、温泉街を歩かれお寺に入ります。
The parade of priests starts in front of Arai Ryokan at 8 a.m. and walks through the hot springs town to the temple.
一般の方も見学可能ですので、13年ぶりに行われる晋山式を是非ご覧ください。
The event is open to the public, so please come and see the Shinzanshiki ceremony, which is being held for the first time in 13 years.
