今日の修善寺温泉は曇りのち晴れ
外を歩いていると汗がどっと出てきます。
Overcast in the morning and sunny in the afternoon.
As you walk around the town, you get all sweat.
こちらは竹林の小径の入り口。
左へ降りていくと、川の中に独鈷の湯があります。
The entrance to Bamboo Grove Lane
Tokko-no-Yu(hot spring) is located on the lower left
in the river.
橋の欄干でよく見る、この金色のもの Gold cap on the bridge handrail is called:
擬宝珠（ぎぼし）と言います。 Giboshi
観音様などが手に持っている宝珠（ほうじゅ）を真似たもので、擬宝珠。
多くの擬宝珠は、銅や青銅が使われていることが多いようです。
Giboshi is designed to shape a bead which kannon holds in hand.
Most of giboshi is made by copper or bronze.

大葉擬宝珠（オオバギボウシ） Ooba-Giboshi
つぼみが、橋の欄干にある「擬宝珠」に似ていることから付けられた名前です。
オオバギボウシの若葉は、春先に「うるい」として皆様の食卓にも並んだりしています。
The flower is shaped like giboshi (the cap of handrail).
Young leave of ooba-giboshi is edible.
