修善寺温泉への入り口はちょっと狭い道なので、
大型バスが入ってきますと、すれ違いが出来ない場所もあります。
今までは、大型バスの運転手さんには不評でしたが、
最近は、温泉場の入り口付近に大型バスの駐車場が完備され、
すれ違いに苦慮することなく駐車できるようになりました。
駐車場からは多少歩きますが、歩くことで、修善寺温泉街を堪能されているようです。
温泉街に入ってくるとこんな感じです。
The street entering to Shuzenji Hot Springs is narrow. A big bus can hardly pass cars on the street,
a headache to bus drivers. To improve the situation, big bus parking lot has recently opened.
Although the parking lot is few blocks walking distance, walking into the hot springs resort is more
fun.

今から１１３年前、明治３０年にタイムスリップしてみます。
Let's slip back in time of 113 years ago, 1897.
正面に新井旅館青州楼が見えます。 Arai at the center
右手の建物は「あさば楼」 Asabaro on the right
木造の虎渓橋の左奥に木組みの小屋の様なものがありますが、
独鈷の湯です。
A hut on the left, behind the wood bridge, Kokei-bashi is
Tokko-no-Yu, the hot spring on the river bed.
ちなみに、明治３０年は京都国立博物館が開館した年です。
1897 is the year when Kyoto National Museum was opened.
