Ochazuke no Aji
The movie by Yasujiro Ozu(1903--1963)
was released in 57 years ago, 1952.
当時のトップスター、若き淡島千景さん・津島恵子さんらが出演しています。
女友達４人で修善寺温泉へ旅行に来る設定なんですが、
その宿泊先が 新井旅館 なんです。
上の写真は、新井旅館の池に浮かぶ「桐の棟」のセット
The movie was starred by top actresses, Chikage Awashima, Keiko Tsushima
and many others. The story is about four ladies took a trip to Shuzenji Hot Sprigs.
The ryokan they stayed is Arai Ryokan.
The photo above is the set of Kiri Wing floats on the pond of Arai.

As you notice, it is a photo filmed in many years ago,
around in 1935.
登録文化財 桐の棟 は大正８年築
National registered cultural assets Kiri Wing
was built in 1919 and renovated in 1959.
昭和３４年に改装を行いました。
今の「桐の棟」はこんな感じ

建物を支える礎石は変わっていません。
The foundation stones have not changed since the original building.
ベランダから鯉に餌をあげるのがとっても楽しいんです 
It's a lot of fun to feed carps from the terrace.
