昨日は、久しぶり薄日がさす心地良い一日。
その心地よいお天気の中、
カンヌ国際映画祭カメラドール賞を授賞した「青いパパイヤの香り」（９２年公開）
の トラン・アン・ユン監督ご一家 がご宿泊されました。
Yesterday was a refreshing and soft-sunlight day after the long rainy days..
On this day, Mr.Trân Anh Hùng, film director, stayed at Arai Ryokan with his
family. One of his films, "Mùi du du xanh"(released: 1992) was awarded the prize
of Caméra dÓr of Festival International du Film de Cannes.
トラン・アン・ユン監督はベトナムで生まれ、12才の時にご両親とフランスに移住され、
３０才の若さでカンヌ国際映画祭カメラドール賞を受賞、
３年後には「シクロ」でヴェネチア映画祭グランプリを受賞。
現在はパリを拠点に、世界的に活躍をなさっている監督です。
Mr.Trân was born in Vietnam and moved to France at the age of 12 with
his parent. He has received Caméra dÓr at the age of 30 and Gran Prix of
Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica for the film "Xich lÔ"in 1995.
He lives in Paris and spends the days of global activities.

ご家族にて休暇を過ごされる為のご来館でした。
He has visited Arai Ryokan to spend a holiday with his family, Mrs. Trân.
the actress(the heroine of Mùi du du xanh), his son and daughter, and
his mother-in-law.

奥様は大の温泉ファン、お母様は日本画がご趣味とのことで、
ご一家あげて今回の滞在を楽しみにされていたそうです。
Mrs.Trân loves onsen and her mother loves Japanese paintings.
The family has been excited for a holiday at Arai Ryokan
お話させていただいた中で、
小津安二郎監督作品「お茶漬けの味」が撮影された桐の棟の話題、
横山大観や安田靫彦など数多くの芸術家と三代目館主との交流など、
深い興味を示され、日本の伝統美を肌で感じていただけた様子でした。
監督の今後の作品に、今回のご滞在が繋がっていただけるとうれしいですね。
次回作も楽しみにしています。
The family has been also attracted by Arai's history amd culture, and also
the episode of the movie "ochazuke-no-aji" by Ozu Yasujiro filmed at
Arai and of the friendship between the celebrated Japanese painting
artists and the third generation master.of arai.
We sincerely hope the family has enjoyed Japanese traditional art
and it would be so great if the visit will become a help to Mr.Trân's
continuous activity.
