国花はさくら、国蝶はオオムラサキといはれています、この美しい蝶が、絶滅危種に指定されて
います。
この蝶を守るために、住友グループのゴムメーカーが、自社の工場に蝶の餌となる榎を、６年前
苗から育て、オオムラサキを飼育し、２０１１年に初めて１００匹のオオムラサキの孵化に成功しました。 いずれは、自然界に放す予定だそうです。
最近は、日産の栃木工場でも、同じ目的で、５０本の榎を育てています。
Protect extinct species
Ohmurasaki is a butterfly that one of the danger of extinct species.
A golf ball maker of Sumitomo group campany planned to protect and
increase the species.
Then members planted young Enoki trees in the factory 6 years ago, and
in 2011, they succeeded to hatch 100 larvas of Ohmurasaki.
Members hope to return them to the nature near future.
Recently, there is the same activity by a car maker Nissan company in
its Totigi factory.
In fact, 50 of young Enoki plants are growing there.
I feel sorry that natural species might be extinct.
