dentist

I went to the dentist. Today was the last day treat my teeth.

I had my teeth cleaned and don't have any cavities now.

When I payed money I asked a receptionist how often I should get my teeth examination.

She said " once a half year is the best ! "

I'll go to the dentist this Aug. because I don't want to get the cavities.

The smallest panda

My husband went to a bookstore and bought me a book yesterday.

It was " The panda that was born the smallest size in the world ".

The panda's weight was 51g when it was born.　It's about the same weight as an egg. 　How cute and small !

The movie is screened. I want to go see it.

miso

I made a year's worth of miso,5Kg today.

How to make miso is easy, just knead the mix of boiled soybeans,salt, and kouji well by hand.

Next put it in a container, place a 2Kg weight on the mix inside and cover with a rid.

Then leave it in a cool and airy place for 6 months.

It ferments little by little as the temperature rises with the changing of the seasons.

The color of it turns from beige to brown in 6 months and it can then be eaten.

After that put it in the refrigerator to stop fermentation.

I think the smell and taste of miso that I make is better than miso in the market.

I've made it for 10 years .

It was hard to knead the ingredients vigorously by hand so I'll have a muscle ache tomorrow.

passport

I applied for a passport with my daughter to go abroad someday.

We'll get our passport after March 2nd.

BTW my husband's computer got back sooner than expected to my house yesterday.

new computer

My husband's new computer that just bought last October broke down.

he has his computer repaired.

So he works on my computer instead.

I can't use my computer when I want to use it.

It can't be helped. I hope his computer gets back to my house soon.

I‘m writing this blog while he is sleeping.

lap warmer

I knit a lap warmer out of wool once a month to Hiroshima and Nagasaki A-bomb victims live in Tokyo. Today was that day.

8 people including me gathered and knitted the lap warmers enjoying chat.

I have to finish knitting it by March 13th.

If I can make it I'll update the photo of my lap warmer on my blog.

BTW I got an e-mail, thank you for the muffler from my aunt.

I'm glad he likes it.

Chinatown

I went to chinatown with my friends.

One of them, 3 years behind me back at art college lives chinatown so she made a lunch reservation.

We ate Chinese and talked a lot.

After that we went to Chinese tea shop. Two of us are tea meisters and thought me chinese tea.

Chinese food and tea were nice. I had a good time with my friends.

heart-shaped hamburg

My daughter cooked some hearted-shaped hamburgs instead of valentine chocolates to her boy friend and her father yesterday.

She doesn't cook so I thought her how to cook hamburg.

She asked me what aibiki-meat was , how she choped onion into fine pieces and so on.

She enjoyed cooking and she made it.

They said that her hamburgs were good and she was very glad to hear that.

She said that she wanted to cook many kinds of meal. I was glad to hear that.

I hope that she will cook our meal instead of me someday !

a muffler

I sewed a muffler on my sewing machine and sent it to my uncle today.

The muffler is made of kimono that his mother wore when she was live. It's his memento.

It's blue kimono with same blue vertically-striped pattern. I think it fits him.

I hope he likes it.

cavities

I have cavities and go to a dentist near my house once a week.

Today I had the cavity filled.

It was hard to keep opening my mouth for 30 minutes.

I wonder I should keep off some sweets.......
